Most criticize Keanu for his emotion-less acting, but that's why he's hired.

The directors are telling their story the way they want it, if the actors suit their perception then they cast them. As I see it none of you are directors of hollywood films so shove it.

I'm not one to judge a movie before it comes out based on my dislike of an actor.

What was so terrible about Street Kings? It wasn't an epic movie, but I didn't switch channels while watching it.

I'm still pumped for this movie and Keanu Reeves being in it doesn't take away from the excitement.

I'm a semi - Keanu fan ..but Spike smiles, is real chill, and does have that unique swag about him.

Keanu sometimes just seems awkward at times or at least that's how I feel. And I don't think I've ever seen the man smile.

I do hope it'll be good, I'll watch it depending how the trailer looks.

I'm curious to who would write this and what the plot would be but on first reading I'm along with the group of "Keanu? Come on...." people. Matrix was good but not because he was good in it. Look at the other two Matrix films. Constantine was good I thought and he was decent enough in it. This is just my opinion but hes not a sci-fi kind of guy and he doesn't move like Spike moves. I for one can't see Reeves doing the jujitsu or whatever Spike does with the fluidity that Spike does.

Honestly I'm along the lines of this movie is going to ruin the original just like Shamalamadingdong is going to ruin the Avatar: The Last Airbender series with his movies. Besides the Avatar movies(which I actually don't want to see because I think Shamalama makes crap and predictable films and the original series is just so good) I will probably get this movie from Netflix if I hear decent reviews.

cowboy bebop was one of my favorite series.

i for one think reeve's has played in some kickass movies. point break for example is one of my favorite action movies.

sure he's played some pretty eh parts but i'd say as a whole most of his work is good enough to at least be considered entertaining. i've noticed far too many people judge movies, and actors for that matter, because it's "not the best i've seen."

does it really have to be the best movie you've ever seen to just smoke a doob, sit next to a friend, and enjoy it?

i will say that there really isn't anyone who comes to mind to play a great Spike. so with that said, Reeve's is at least a decent choice in my opinion.

all in all, i'm looking forward to it.

There really can't be that few actors in hollywood. Characters nowadays are really hard to take seriously when I've seen them in loads of other films. I think they should have used an unknown/unpopular actor for this role but I guess It might go either way. Maybe it'll be great who knows...I'll probably see it when it comes out.

Keanu....eh...he could be really great...or really awful.

John Goodman quite possibly might be the worst choice for Jet that I can imagine, unless John Goodman can pack on a ton of muscle

Lol didn't quite mean like that, I more meant his sarcastic demeanor he always seems to have resembles Jet's quite a bit. I'm sure he could lose some weight for the part too :P

Yeah, I'm probably expecting way too much out of this film cuz the anime is my favorite of all time. I'd like it to be a whole new story, but I want the characters to really represent who they are in the anime.

I don't think that's a logical expectation though
