it is fake, sadly. It was originally posted on dude university in great detail. then at the end, he states how none of it is true but how awesome would it be. I mean, it's the dude. does he seem like they kind of guy that would go to Washington to save a bowling alley??? I think not. He would just say fuck it and find another one. Walter, on the other hand....

Yeah a part of me wants there to be a magnificent sequel but odds are the movie was made so long ago that the sequel would be a bust.

I'm sure it's fake.

I really hope it's fake, I don't want them to tarnish the dudes reputation with some crappy sequel.
The original is so magnificent, it cannot be re-made

I loved the original one, on one hand Id like to think a sequel could be awesome and Id love to see the characters again however as history has showed sequels rarely equal the first film and even rarer better it so I feel the dude best be left alone. Its probably a fake because I think the Coen brothers were asked about it and they had no idea about it so yea....
