KingKush is back for round 2!

Just finished harvesting my very first grow on a Shishkaberry clone (Click here for my previous grow) and now I'm back for attempt number deuce with Greenhouse Super Lemon Haze from seed.

Equipment:
Used storage cabinet (6x2.5x1.5ft)
400 Watt Dimmable Ballast
400 Watt HPS & 400 Watt MH Bulb
4" Vortex Fan
DIY Carbon Filter (Bohbo DIY Filter)
DIY Bubble Bucket (Rumpleforeskin DIY Bubble Bucket)

Nutrient Method: Lucas (General Hydropnics Micro + Bloom)
Plant strain: Greenhouse Super Lemon Haze

I germinated and sprouted her from rockwool at 5.5PH. This all happened in a matter of 24 hours. As some may know I was planning on doing Barneys Farm Seeds Tangerine Dream but I couldn't resist all the talk about Super Lemon Haze.

Lets kick it off with a few photos:

Day 1 - Seed Sprout
Air Temp: 21 C
Humidity: 57%

mmmm...the super lemon is super delicious :) mine likes light nutes and takes about 10 weeks..make sure you do a good flush or she'll go 12 :D she also loves to be trained out...producing tons of golf ball sized nuggets.

edit: I ran her on lucas too...she got a little picky with 5.9 ph and got a little shrively on the leaves..she liked 5.5 alot better.

Thanks for the tip Bongsuace!

Yeah my Shishkaberry seemed to have ran good on 5.8PH but I think if I dropped it to 5.5-5.6PH it would have been better. Its all good though, you learn from experiance right, haha.

When you used the Lucas formula did you find any deficiencies for GH Super Lemon Haze?

i ran it at about 75% ..about 6/12 and it did really well..just got a little sad looking when the ph was higher. I ran a little calmag too but I don't know if it was necessary.

I will definitely keep that in mind. Knowing hydroponics, you can always correct your mistakes quite easily.

Staying tuned, im going towards doing a similar grow. Is the fan really loud or only kinda loud? lol

And what kind of temps are you seeing with the 400Watt in there?

Thanks for dropping by bwitsne!

I have a Speed Controller for the Vortex fan. On lowest setting it hums from medium to high its somewhat looud but not loud enough to be heard from outside the room.

In my previous grow during Veg Stage the cabinet ran about, 22-24 degrees Celsius and during Flowering Stage the cabinet ran about 24-26 degrees Celsius,

Haha yeah I turned one of the off as I was worried it may be too intense for just a sprout. Just one seed my friend and yes its feminized. Hate dealing with male seeds so I purchase all feminized.

The plus with regular seeds is you can pick your own phenotype and the genetics will be stronger then feminized. Only thing is that it's more work. ;)

Thanks MicroGrower420! I enjoy that more experienced growers can watch over me. Even though you don't have to say much; its cool when you throw something in there haha! :smoke::hello:

And yes that may be true, but like you said more work! That would be taking it to the next level.

Thanks readsetexplode! Will be following your grow as well.

So the vortex fan alone cools the entire setup? besides a few small fans near the bottom on the plants?

You'll be surprised how powerful a Vortex fan really is. As soon as its on, you can feel its suction from just trying to open the cabinet doors. The two fans below the screen isn't suppose to cool the plant. Its there to provide a fresh flow of oxygen for the plant around its base/trunk. Two 2.5" passive intake holes near the bottom back of the cabinet bring in the fresh air.

Nope, its a wood cabinet from Home Depot. I purchased it used from someone off of Craigslist for $60.00 (Retail $100.00 before tax).

Yeah it actually worried me the first time as I couldn't get my cabinet open and I didn't want to break the darn thing either lol.
