First Grow CFL LSD

so yea we have lift off do i start the 18/6 cycle for the light now? just been sitting by my window till i got home from work and started to fix my space to grow.
Criticism welcome see why broke atm so the box is gonna go when i find something a little more room and need to get a fan in there

For a seedling, it should be okay for now. When you get around to making a proper box (hopefully before there is some sort of fire!) paint the walls of it a glossy white, or mylar, but it can get pretty expensive, i still have my roll i bought 2 years ago sitting around.

Given any thought to what kind of box you might want to make? Rubbermaids are cheap (8$ at most) and there are sooo many builds out there you can use.

its lsd from barney farms and yea im just broke atm . i just want a nice small easy to work with box till it gets big enough and ill prob take it to my buddies to flower. lights go out at 10am tomorrow and on again around 4pm

i have been running mine on 24/0 schedule.
they seem to like it, and then ill cut down to 18/6 in about another week or so. then when i flower im going 12/12.
keep an eye on my grow if you want, because im only on day 11. so your not too far behind lol..
and if mine die off u know not to try that.. hah!
if you read mine u can find a link for some different boxes u can use mod..
mine was 119$ for a big trunk. so it depends on your space u have. they make all sizes. or you can go with something else in mind. just ideas for yah.

ok well i didnt water today the soil was wet and yesterday night i gave her just a bit of water so how long should i wait till i feed her water again?

Here's an easy tip,

Take a water bottle and poke a hole in the cap with a nail or pen. Once every two days water until the surface is wet.

If the soil is still wet before you water the second day then there is a drainage issue.

Don't forget it's okay for the soil to become dry. Just not bone dry

Yes. Might as well keep 18 hours of light on it, unless it's more conveinent to keep 24 hours of light on it.

Unless you want a small plant in which case you would switch to 12/12 to induce flowering as soon as possible. This is more common in SOG setups though.

I was reading your question about watering. You really want the soil to dry out between waterings so that the roots are stimulated to spread and look for nutrients. Stick your finger into the soil up to your first knuckle, if you can feel moisture then don't water. You should at least let the top layer of soil dry out. Also important, make sure there is proper drainage and water until you get about 30% runoff. This way you are saturating all the soil at one time and then letting it gradually aerate. This is great for the root system because too much moisture in soil will cause root rot.
