New to growing and the forum...

I recently had 4 sour D plants given to me and I plopped them in the woods but they quickly became deer food. Left with two unsexed clones of the originals. After my outdoor efforts were thwarted by that bitch, mother nature, and the discovery of an amazing nook in my house, ive decided to come inside. My eventual goal is to have a perpetual SOG/SCROG with mother and some daughters. For now, I grow and harvest my two clones (praying for females) for experience and then start the real deal in September with fresh seeds.

Growing for a couple reasons: the challenge, a bit of extra cash for food and beer, hooking up a FEW good friends with good buds (as I don't smoke much), and because I am bored...

Oh, and I have nooooooo money to support this so it's all budget oriented.

I attached a picture of my soon to be grow cabinet and im looking for advice. It's unlikely that the cabinet will ever be found because it's hidden very well in the house but smell and noise are big concerns. I don't want my roommates knowing but they ARE all close, trusted friends of mine. Depth and width have a good amount of wiggle room but the height is very limited.

Mylar and humidity control will all be a part.

Powered by a 700 watt led array (got it for free 99 :hello:) http://www.alibaba.c...Hybrid_led.html

I want to have the light sit on top of the box (green rectangle in pic) instead of hanging inside of it so it doesn't breath any air from inside the box (control heat too). This means the light is in a fixed position and I will adjust the distance to the light by moving the plants up and down on a rack. Plants and drip tray are the purple and gold lines in the pic respectively. The smaller compartment on the right is to hold the carbon filter (red blob in pic) out of the way of the lights and will double as a drying compartment. Blue circles in back are passive intakes and the two blue holes towards the top draw air into the filter/blower compartment.

The plants will be grown and harvested in one square foot clusters of 4 clones in 6" square pots. (will add veg/mommy cabinet later). Each rack of 4 clones will move independently of the others. Meaning I can have 4 groups of 4 clones growing at the same time and control when the harvests will be (hopefully every 2 weeks).

Couple questions:
1) Am I on the right track?!?!
2) What is a good distance to keep between light and plants?
3) Good idea to supplement CO2 with sugar/water/yeast generator or is it unnecessary?
4) Vent holes... Amount, size, location?? All vents will have HVAC filters

All input is greatly appreciated but please no bickering over preferences!

My job for the past few years has been building grow rooms for bonsais and exotic plants and i felt like one of the lights was in storage for too long and wouldn't be missed!

I haven't found much info from people using this kinda light on so few plants. What kinda first yield could I expect from it?

1) I think you got the right idea. and if anything goes wrong you will know when your actually building it and you cn correct anything then
2) If your trying to keep em short adn not stretch, about 3-6 Inches would be about right.
3) The extra C02 can help... you can never have enough C02. Im just not sure on 'when' to add it. you might know that.
4) Vents... Fans? well, Intake fan should be nar the bottum and Exaust near teh top because heat rises... the size well.. that usually depends on the size of the fan your getting does it not? Maybe im wrong.

Yea I want to use it for the whole thing. I've heard people do it with good results. Thinkin about doing a couple first grows of 12/12 from seed until I find a sexy momma out of a few I choose to veg. Any thoughts on the yield I might be pulling? I'm more about quality than quantity but just curious

Well... that would depend. What are the measurements on your box? Because depending on the size, you can veg them for a while get a 10x better yeild than going 12/12 from seed. Anyways about teh LED light... i dont know anyone who uses it but if you know what your doing with that... Go for it :D
