Vaporizer Debate

I have had my aromed for over 2 months and I am so happy. I am now using 360 temp and put meds in and after enjoying I put them in a film container, when that is full I revap them at 370-390temp then I put the remains in another film container. When I get about 3/4 oz from 2nd vap remains I make cannabutter from it and get 1/2 pound of killer cannabutter.... Which is enough to make 2 loaves of Bananna bread. This bread serves up at least 6 highs for me or 12 highs for other folks.

I am now using much less meds and the aromed is paying for itself. You can find aromed for 400 bucks shipping included. It is a little dorky looking but it is the best for getting everything out of your buds.........

www.aromed.com for the full story. I havent tried drinking the water but they say that will get you another buzz. I also clean my bowl with some alcohol and get a little oil from that process......
I had the hotbox and it gave great hits but usually burnt the final remains too much. I dont want some loud fan driven airgun or volcano when I want to relax and enjoy.

you can also leave water out of it and try it direct but the water takes very little of taste away.

All talk aside I used a cano this weekend and I'm sold.

Hard to beat the hot box, have tried one other popular unit but after you fart around with everything it just seems like way too much too mess with. Sounds like the dig heat gun with the chillum attatched to a hose would be the needs.

so anyone ever try the match vaporizer it is something you hold over your bowl and it doesnt ignite meds it allows vapor, it is like 150 bucks wondering for road trips.

Those look like they would be difficult to use. The key to vaping is to have the temperature hot enough to vape the oils but not so hot that it burns the (meds). I am pretty sure that you are talking about the heat stick looking thing. To me it would seem that if you take a lot of road trips then maybe the portable\rechargeable vapir would be your best bet. Has anybody tried both the AroMed & Vapezilla? It appears those are both the top of the line devices, and each have pro's and cons. The AroMed has a flourescent heating element, while the Vapezilla has a hi tech ceramic. The Aromed has the water filtration, but it looks like a science project. Vapezilla looks very cool.

I currently use a HotBox and love it, but have never tried an expensive one. I'm not in a big hurry to pull the trigger, as it seems a cooler one comes out every year. I am interested to see if Vapezilla will add a water filter, or if the AroMed will come out with a sleeker design.

I stepped up from hotbox to aromed and it was a tremendous improvement. I never burn meds and i get a hell of a punch from my canabutter made from vap remains.
I wonder too about the vapezilla as i hear it punches a great taste. Not sure how that would be different from one vap to another. The hotbox hurt my tastebuds and made joints taste bad. The aromed looks clinical but is a cinch to use plus the bowl is made to fit most water pipes so you can use your favorite glass.

This was the most helpful thread I found when I did a little bit of research about a month ago. Then I went to a couple of shops and the second one sold me on a silver surfer. I'd gone in leaning towards a heat gun setup, but the guy told me that his girlfriend didn't like using the gun. My fiance likes the SS and I know she'd of had problems with the gun. Who knows? I could picture some kind of freak burn accident with gun use.

Anyhow, I'm happy with what I paid, about 340 for the SS, a bubbler (lil bong), a super nicely crafted magnitized wooden keif box and a lil plastic grinder that seems fine.

I found a good supplier of high quality stuff and had been smoking regularly for a few months for the first time in years. If you're intrigued with vaporizing, definately try it. I was developing a lil bit of a cough and this makes such a huge difference.

One thing I'll stress is: Get some kind of setup where you can use Ice. Vaporizing is like sucking up hot air from a hairdryer or something. I imagine it's the same if you use a gun or whatever else. But, I fill up the lil bong attached to the hose with ice every time and it is sooooo much better feeling to me.

I turn the knob on the SS all the way up and the first couple of hits are so pure tasting, really herby and fresh. The second hit is usually the biggest for some reason. From then on, if I keep baking it, it'll have burnt popcorn sort of thing going on.

Anyhow, thanks to everybody that posted. I learned alot from this thread and would be curious to hear some more new stuff about vaporizing.

Oh yeah, a bit off the subject, but ... I saw the add for a sampler ounce of legal bud from herbal-smoke-shop.com

Is this stuff any good? It's about 60 bucks for an ounce. I know it won't compare to what I'm smoking now, but I'm curious. I pay 120 for a quarter of what he's calling medical right now. If mixing it up some could save me money, why not try it? What do you think, is it worth paying 60 for a sampler?

head to any local place that carries herbs in baggies (that typical spanish wall of random spices n shit in the same bags you see gumballs/gummy worms/ect in at gas stations)

people always seem do be dissing the vapir but I have one and I love it. it comes with bags to fill up with vapor a water filter for the vapor. i have never burnt my weed and I can fill about 5/6 bags full of vapor that wreck everyone I give them to. I dont have any leaks and the parts that peopel say leak I have grip tape there because i liek the look. it only cost me 150 and I am happy with it. I have hit other vapes but I really liek the digital temp read out.
