Ding Ding Ding!

after owning a vaporbro's, vapir, iVape, Volcano, California vaporizer, BC vaporizer (lol.. first vape), and a few others i cant remember, for the money, you cant beat the 3g unless you want to go the heat gun route. (imho)

aromed hands down. It is fun to watch your herb go from bright green to brown as you draw your hits through a water filled jar that helps cool the heat and make the taste delicous. This vape was designed to meet medicinal needs so it doesnt have the aesthetic design that others have but for temp contol nothing beats it and if your bulb burns out it is replaceable for 5 bucks at local light store.
You dont have to buy any other accessories like glass bong and efficency wise you cut your amount in half. Also I have found that with the digital heat control you can get nice hits from 330 to 380 degress. (and a different high at lower temps then higher.

This machine works well for 1-4 users You dont need the bag system as it allows particles to get into your lungs etc.

check out their website for how much detail they put into designing for most efficiency.
Also it allows you to cook with it after you vap it and man are the edibles incredible.

it depends on how you like to smoke

if you love all the glassware prep time music blasting throughout you're probably gonna like smaller silent units that you can load with anything from kief to ground nug without issue (even resined up roaches will do if you're dry enough to funk the whip up)

if you're more party or group toke oriented (blunts ect) the cano or a heatgun setup would be best as you can spend 5 bucks on 6 large oven bags and go nuts with assorted waterbottle tops 'n rubber bands for your mouth pieces

all depends on how simple you wanna go between the cano and diy but the diy will make you much happier in the long run with bag to multi user hookah like water filters

the cano will screw ya here by design

I've decided that I'm definitely going to try a bag setup sometime. That's the one thing with smoking that I feel I'm missing out on and haven't tried yet; well that and heat gun w/ a nice bong - but that's expensive for me atm and can wait awhile.

Oh, and have decided that at least one alcoholic beverage along with my smoking is good for me. Was on a health kick for awhile, but that was way over-rated. I'm in better shape when I drink a little because it takes the funk of work away and makes me feel more like exercising.

^ if you get yourself on some cheap stuff from cvs like 2-8 grams (take a few 1000mg tablets till ya get the shits - right below this is what your body needs) of vitamin c daily some b1 6 'n 12 along with fish oil or flax seed oil (prefer the latter being vegan) does wonders for all the little things

this with the cleaning power of herb and a few energy drinks each day keep most middle age folks humming along like a college kid on adderall lol

notice how your piss is always dark after a toke? it's probably a good bet you've been over doing shit thats bad for ya and that bud provided a sped up fast clearing it outta your system

little shit like this makes or breaks most peoples diets so give it a try at most you've blown 30 bucks on stuff thats useful when your sick at best you're feeling like a cycling junkie who rarely buys gas

yeah, the energy drinks scare me a little bit - just because I know myself and I can get too jacked

since my main sport is tennis I need to have touch and be able to absorb my opponents shot

caffine is something I just do for work in the morning to get my mind alert enough to get me through my day and help me pay the bills. I can see how for cycling or another activity where you are go, go, go red bull would work

my piss is pretty clear most of the time - I was a vegetarian for a year and a half once, but I eat meat in front of my vegatarian fiance (she's hasn't eaten meat in about 15 years - not full vegan though) now and she truly doesn't mind.

I do take multi-vitamins regularly but haven't played too much with other supplements. Right now I'm just in survival mode mostly until work is out. I know I could take better care of myself, but I'm the kind of person that I have to research stuff until I'm really comfortable before I'll put something new in my body.

Can't wait for summer break - sure I'll learn how to treat myself better

Was so tired last night after a fun but exhausting day at work that I went to bed around 7pm and just woke up a lil while ago at 4am. So tempted to wake and vape - but going to give myself a few more minutes to think about chores and stuff and how my body feels today.

Curious what kind of smoking/vaporizing habits the vaporizing debate readers have and how it works into different lifestyles. Can always learn more about how, when and what stuff to put in the body.

comin' from someone who has done week+ speed binges those energy drinks won't jack ya up any more than a cup or two of joe and a hand full of lower than daily suggested doses of the same cheap supplements

you'd start to worry about pissing yourself long before you reached a jolt half as strong as a point of meth

if you keep holding off vape sessions or space them out by weeding out any morning nips you take in favor of a larger dose before dinner energy should shoot back up

lol I'm kicking myself for blowin' through my alotted nug for the month in a week but the difference in energy levels is night 'n day

funny how the stoned haze makes you forget to space shit out enough to enjoy the high instead of stumble through it

yeah I'm pretty sensitive to all drugs, even though I really enjoy the ones that I do. I'm sure I'd love meth and just about any other drug I can imagine. But I don't think I'll try meth ever or the other ones that really kick it to your body afterwards.

But I can have fun with pot, alcohol, coffee in the morning, multivitamins - that's about it. A friend gave me this lil tube of liquid B12 stuff about a year ago. If I have it in a drawer somewhere and can find it now I'll slug it down as an experiment.

That's about as much as I push the envelope.

My body needs rest afterwards and I'll need a tolerance break from everything occasionally.

then I'll get centered and use again and it feels great.

but yeah, I do the same shit as you and anybody who cares to admit it - get foggy having smokes and forget

cheers

meth is honestly the better of the stimulant class only being beaten out by the 'love drugs' foxy/mdma/mda/mdxx in terms of pure bliss in a hyperactive state

you'd be worse off with cocaine so if you do choose to give something a try stick to adderall if amp isn't around as it won't come close to how bad coke can fuck ya up plus it's way more fun

if it's actual base or clean crystals ..do 'em in your vap over bud for something on par with xtc

even caffeine is a poison in large doses though so it's all subjective

I'm an "old man" now. Won't be putting anything besides organic bud in there except for the damiana you told me about. Have made tea with that since too and it tasted alright with a little sugar.

Here's an article I found a few months ago. Thought this was cool because there are a couple parallels for me: my buddy that hooked me up works in the medical field and the author of this also uses the SS:

Reefer Dadness

Why marijuana improves the parenting experience

by Neal Pollack, December 8, 2006
TAGS: Alternadad Doonesbury Legalization Marijuana parenting the Silver Surfer
When my son was 18 months old, my best friend from high school came through town on his way to California. He’s a respected physician and my most trusted medical counselor. We went back to my office and looked over my stash.
More Useful than a Bugaboo: The Silver Surfer“Dude,” he said. “You’ve got to stop smoking this shit.”
“I know,” I said. “With the kid around…”
“You need to buy a vaporizer.”
“Oh.”
“You get really high, and you don’t mess up your lungs. Also, there’s no odor. It’s awesome.”
My 35th birthday was approaching, and I needed to get myself a present. So I went vaporizer shopping online. I found a website for a sleek, gorgeous ceramic contraption called The Silver Surfer. New terms entered my stoner lexicon: “heat source,” “mouthpiece,” “whip,” “wand.” It would be the greatest present I’d ever give myself. No more apple bongs for me. I had to consume my THC wisely. I was a dad now.
*****
I’m a man of few vices. Alcohol doesn’t appeal to me, except in very limited quantities. I don’t play a lot of cards or smoke cigars, and I’m really not that into porn. My naughtiness all goes into the herb, and it’s as low-level as naughtiness gets.
Before my son was born, my hobby went like this: When I had weed in the house, I’d do it a lot, and when I didn’t, I wouldn’t do it at all. I could go two months without it, or go two months with daily use. Usually, it moved in cycles. It never really occurred to me to give it up just because I’d become a parent. It didn’t even occur to me that anyone would expect me to give it up. If anything, parenthood meant that marijuana became a larger part of my life. Whereas before the boy’s arrival I’d often leave the house after 9 PM for a party, or a bar, or a movie, now my social life had contracted. By the kid’s bedtime, I’m often exhausted, and even if I’m not, babysitters run $10 an hour these days. A hit off the Silver Surfer and a night of Turner Classic Movies has become, for me, an acceptable middle ground.
Then the morning comes, and I have responsibilities. I don’t Silver Surf when I have to drive Elijah somewhere, I don’t do it when I’m going to be alone with him for any extended period of time, and I’m very rarely baked before sundown. Since all that put together comprises 97 percent of my parenting time, there’s very little crossover with the weed. Occasionally, I’ll be stoned at the wrong moment, which will lead me to misjudge children’s entertainment, like the time I told my wife, “Dude, 64 Zoo Lane is so trippy.” But as far as I’m concerned, weed, in very limited quantities, just improves the parenting experience. Everyone knows that TV is better when you’re high.
Anyone who says it’s impossible to be a stoner and a parent has either never been a stoner, or never been a parent. The dominant attitude among stoner dads—and moms—goes like this: Consuming pot is something, like watching college football or masturbating, that you used to do all the time, but now will do only if it’s convenient and appropriate to the moment. Still, there’s a kind of secret, unspoken society. I’ve been to many backyard family barbecues where another dad and I will discover that pot is a shared habit. The discussion will quickly veer into the familiar. We discuss our favorite varietals. We recount great pot-smoking moments of our past. Someone tells a story about a dude he knows who’s got a medical marijuana prescription. Then things invariably wind down the same way:
Newly Controversial: Time Magazine on pot-smoking parentsDad: So do you have any?
Me: No. Do you?
Dad: Nah. I had some a few weeks ago.
Me: So did I. Give me a call if you ever get some.
Dad: Cool.
Me: Cool.
Pot-smoking parents didn’t use to be controversial. My parents never consumed anything stronger than box wine; my dad was the only soldier in Vietnam, other than maybe John McCain, who didn’t do drugs. But even if my parents had stashed a half-ounce of Maui Wowie in the underwear drawer, I can’t imagine it would have been a big deal around the house. The country was loose about weed then. No one gave it much of a thought.
When I was a kid, a Time magazine cover like the one on Dec. 9, 1996, would never have been possible. An aging Michael Doonesbury sits on his daughter’s bed, while Garry Trudeau’s talking joint character stands in the background. The text reads, “You tried pot when you were young. Maybe you even inhaled. So now what do you say to your kids?”
Even though I wasn’t to be a dad for six years, and hadn’t even met my wife yet, I knew then that the culture had turned. Parenting, rather than just being a natural, if challenging, byproduct of biology, had somehow become a sacred act. And smoking pot was a violation of its sanctity. Well, I never bought into that, and I’m not alone. Society is right to demand that parents treat their kids with respect and love, and provide them with food, clothing and shelter. But sainthood shouldn’t be a requirement.
In a perfect world, or at least a better one, smoking pot would not carry any cultural meaning at all. My casual little habit doesn’t prevent me from fulfilling my parental duties, and no matter what DARE and the DEA might say, it has little or nothing to do with the crack epidemic or the spread of crystal meth. I think that weed should be legal, and I’m not going to lie about that to my kid if he asks me. Someday I’ll have an intelligent conversation with him about the pros and cons of legalization, and about the politics of prohibition. But he’s not ready for such a conversation yet.
In the meantime, I’m downplaying my marijuana use. There’s a little water closet off my office that I use as a peccadillo repository of sorts. The other day, Elijah used my bathroom because the other one was occupied. He spotted the Silver Surfer on the floor.
“What’s that, daddy?” he asked.
“Nothing,” I said. “Just something daddy uses to help him with his breath.”
“Good,” he said. “Your breath stinks sometimes.”
“Yeah, well, so does yours.”

Thanks for all of the information

Greetings to all - I just wanted to say thanks to all the people that have contributed to this thread. I am a medical user that just undertook my own vaporizer research project and I was happy to have found this forum along the way. There are so many options, prices and opinions that I feel like I have that "paralysis by analysis" syndrome going. I know that I should have been vaping a long time ago, but whenever I feel like I have made a choice, I see something else that makes me hesitate and then I'm right back where I started!

So far, I think I have it narrowed down to the Aromed for high-end, and either the VaporCannon or the Silver Surfer for the budget end. The wifey gave me the ok to spend what I need to, but I'm the only one that tokes and the Volcano seems like overkill for just my every day use. I am intrigued by the Mystifire and Vapormatic Deluxe, since they seem to have all the features for a medium price, but there isn't much feedback on these quite yet. I look forward to the continued debate here!

Vapir/voodoo/etc doesnt have the best reputation for build quality. Some people have had no issues, some have had leaks, electrical problems, etc.

I had a vapir when they first came out and it just never worked right. I eventualy gave up and found many better options out there.

As always, if you're just starting out, i'd recommend the 3g vaporwarez for the simplicity, reliability, and the 5 year warranty.

Do some research and get what makes the most sense for your situation though.

Some things to keep in mind:

warranty
how long it takes to heat up
reviews?
is the heating element exposed (ouch!)
temp adjustability range
cost of replacement parts/service
stealth looks
stealth operation (noise?)

ok so I have had my Super Vapezilla for about a year and a half, its on for over 12 hours a day, its been going like a champ and I love it but today looks like it decided to ignore my settings and just stay at 455 F no matter what I set it at.

so I just bought an SSV, waiting to see how it mesures up but I like to get another Vaporizer, not sure if I should get the Super Vapezilla or the Evolutions Vaporizer which looks like an updated Super Vapezilla.

any ideas?

btw the only complaint I have from vapzilla at this time are

1. its a bit loud

2. obviously teh warrenty

If you liked your super vapezilla, try the Natural Goods Vaporizer.

I've heard plenty of great reviews. Plus its about half the cost of the SVZ.

The silver surfer is a very nice piece as well. It will certainly get the job done for ya.
