MMJ for Autism?

My question: Any cases of adults using MMJ for Autism, can it be done legally?

I've searched the entire google for every scrap of information about Autism and cannabis, unfortunately most of the information associating cannabis use with Autism was with children ages 6-10. Also, most trials were done with children whom suffered from aggression and destructive behaviors which i do not.

What I did find to be helpful in my search for MMJ and Autism was:

Significantly, more "controlled study" psychological research is desperately needed. It is highly unlikely that MMJ will change the autism itself; however MMJ has the potential for therapy regarding social awareness issues.

As noted above, it's unlikely that drugs therapy would "cure" a personality condition. MMJ treatment is focused on socialization training; not an attempt at a "cure". Such training or therapy related to "perception" would be easily evaluated, and will provide novel results for anyone researching this.

Its to bad there's a lack of responses for this subject but I'm not surprised. Autism is a very debatable topic that the everyday person isn't really exposed too.

I've never thought about the use of cannabis for Autism. I have a sibling that's been diagnosed with a form of autism. I wish I was more knowledgable in the area. Go to google and type: medical marijuana and autism. I found alot of results. I guess there is a study out there dedicated to MMJ and autism. I would've never guessed.

I can't decide if it sounds like a good idea. I'm all for MMJ but with some autism comes forms of mental retardation.. and it would seem almost cruel to subject those patients to MMJ. Would they have any idea whats going on with there body? But for Autism where severe mental challenges arn't so present, with anxiety and social disorders I think it is a good idea. MMJ would seem to fit that bill quite perfectly. But again I'm not as knowledgeable as I wish I was... so I'm gonna do some research.
