MMJ for manic depression

Is marijuana used medically to help with Manic Depression? I have a have a friend that is bi polar and she smokes every day. She said it helped relax her and sleep instead of feeling off the wall or so horrible. I don't know if it's possible to get a MMJ card for it, but if it is I think she should try.

In my opinion i wouldnt think yes because you cant really replace bi-polar meds with MMJ. She would be better off saying that the side effects from her bi-polar meds is what makes her smoke, thats more likely to be approved.
