Need Serious Advice

Hello to everyone here. I used to smoke recreationally when I was younger but have not in many years. Now, I find myself in my late fifties diagnosed with a serious eye condition, wet macular degeneration. Long story short, from looking at the technical treatment I'm being given via eye injections, it seems like the same benefits could be obtained (anti-VEGF properties of cannabinoids) by injesting MMJ in some form. At the very least, it seems like this could help treat the disease, since there is no permanent cure, and maybe let me have less frequent eye injections.

I'd really appreciate any advice anyone can give me. Sight is a really precious thing and no one (including me) really appreciates it until it's threatened.

I live in a MMJ state, but no state specifically covers wet macular degeneration as a qualifyinig condition, so if I use the state's MMJ program, I'd have to find some way to do it by citing some other (side effect) of the condition.
