Marijuana stops sweating?

for some reason in the mornings after i wake up i am always uncomfortably hot.
i sweat from my hands, feet, armpits and especially my forehead.
this excessive sweating usually goes away after an hour or so of being awake and i;ve tried taking cold showers to lower my temperature, but nothing works.
except for marijuana.
when i smoke in the mornings before school, i never sweat. I feel a bit hotter, but not nearly as uncomfortable and pretty much no sweat.
idk if i have an actual sweating disorder or what, but i now consider weed my medicine in this sense and has helped make my life much better.

thoughts/comments? similar stories?

Marijuana has anti-cholinergic effects (one of which is reduced sweating), which is why it is not suggested for use in excessively hot weather.
Have you checked your blood sugar during these sweating episodes? Do you feel ill, or just sweat a lot?

i have found i sweat when i dont smoke. it is a withdraw effect of the bud.

i had sweaty palms for as long as i can remember.when i play video games and get into it,my hands leave the controller all wet,i have to whip it off before i hand it over to other people, hahah.and yeah the herb does help with it.

Do you ever wake up "for no reason," gasping and covered in sweat? Are you tired A LOT, even after getting a good night's sleep? Sleepy during the day, sleepy all the time, fall asleep at the drop of a hat? You may want to ask your doc about getting screened for sleep apnea. It's pretty common, and can happen to anyone--young or old, slim or fat. It tends to be stereotyped as an "old fat person's disease," which it assuredly isn't. Some people think that the young, hot, healthy Heath Ledger might have had undiagnosed sleep apnea, and that's what may have killed him (in combination with all the pharmaceuticals he was taking, the combination relaxed his airway to the point where he just suffocated in his sleep).

Sleep apnea is where your airway doesn't stay open at night while you sleep, resulting in dozens (or hundreds) of times a night where you stop breathing. Untreated, it can increase your risk of stroke, heart attack, and other horrible conditions.

It's easily treated, sometimes even by sleeping on your side or stomach! Other possible treatments include: a special mouthpiece, surgery (only sometimes), or a special machine that helps you breathe at night, called CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure). Getting sleep apnea treated means better sleep, and a greatly reduced risk of dying young. If you have sleep apnea, your sleep specialist can recommend the appropriate course of treatment for you. CPAP machines are sold only with a prescription in the USA.

Also: many people believe that MJ can help open their airway and help relieve symptoms. I would agree! If you have sleep apnea, I would still recommend MJ in conjunction with a standard treatment from your sleep specialist, such as the CPAP machine. Sweet dreams!

I never feel sick, I just sweat lol
And while my dad does have sleep apnea, I don't believe this is the case considering I always sleep well

when i sit at the computer sometimes my palms start to sweat really bad. i spark a bowl and it goes away.

Only study I have on sweat is that THC can be detected in sweat, but that doesn't have anything to do with your problems. All I can say is that if it works for you guys, it's great!

Didn't seem to help with "hot flash" sweats, though, but that is from an entirely different cause!
