Hey guys I just had to talk about something. I have a histroy of mental problems and Ive been to psychiatrists, taken medication, and tried so hard to be happy but I just dont enjoy being alive and I genuinely hate myself. So far in life, the only thing that makes me truly feel better in my mind, body and spirit, is pot. I daydream about killing myself all day long and I do cut myself. As far as I know and read, in my state, mmj doesnt cover mental problems, and I think it really should. Can anyone help me? I know it sounds stupid, but its fine in my eyes but, Ive even thought about trying to get cancer on purpose (i.e. smoking tobacco more often) so I can become legal.

Have you seen a neurologist and an endocrinologist and had a full work up? Many times people with psych dxs have some other pathology that will qualify them. If all you have seen is your primary care doc and psych docs, now might be the time to dig a little harder. Often depressed/OCD individuals have abnormal EEGs and can qualify under seizure disorder. Its a crapshoot with OCD but you might get lucky (rather in depth) http://www.gjpsy.uni-goettingen.de/g...e-desarkar.pdf You might also have an autoimmune disease, thyroid issues...many things. Its just a matter of going outside the psych box and seeing what some other specialists can come up with. Beats trying to come down with cancer. Sometimes what you need is right there, you just have to be looking for it. Quote:

I havent had full work because I cant afford it and dont want to ask my family for help because they are strongly against marijuana and everything else that fucks you up. I just dont know what to do anymore. I live on a farm in the middle of nowhere with my conservative family and theres no jobs available. I cant leave the house without money because What would I do? Im just so stuck and trapped

You would ask your family for help because you're suicidal, not because you're seeking MMJ. Are you being seen at the health dept now? They may be able to get you more services, such as vocational rehab. depending on your state.

However your problems seem to be more social then medical, cannabis might not be a long term solution for you. I would strongly suggest seeking medical help for your psychological/social issues first. Remember cannabis is not a cure for anything, and the problems will return once the high is gone. You sound more bored then anything. Move, make new friends, go to school. Anything that keeps you occupied and away from negative thoughts and negative people. |

so,yeah can get medical herb there.why not go get evaluated for a card?? it doesn't hurt to try.

i live in the 503 and i would strongly suggest that you go down to the county offices for which you live and apply for OHP. once you are approved you can go to a Dr. free of charge and start to get a full medical evaluation. if this doesnt work you can always (and i dont condone this) say you have a chronic pain problem. the good thing bout getting the OHP is that not only can you get the medical attention you need but it also qualifies you for a tremendous discount on the OMMP card. you can get it for $20 instead of $200.

Tell them you have cronic back pain due to an injury while working or tell them you experience a high level of anxiety on a daily basis. Both of those will qualify you for a MMJ card. My buddy in Cali has extreme anxiety and he scored an 8 out of 10 on the test they make you take to qualify for the card. Anything over a 3 qualifies you for a MMJ card. I dont condone lying to get one but if your have a legit illness and marijuana helps you and they wont give you a card for that then I say do what you have to in order to get what seems to hepl you. Dude, you seriously need to get into some therapy ASAP, if you're constantly feeling like you don't have any worth and want to kill yourself, MMJ won't necessarily help your symptoms. PLEASE get some professional psychiatric help.

instead of worrying soo much about smoking legal, why dont you just continue to smoke illegally like many others and oregon is supposed to be pretty lenient on bud i heard anyways. im a mmj user but even if it was illegal i would still use it for my pains.
