Medicine for IBS & Anxiety

Was wondering if any of you guys have utilized marijuana to help with IBS and the anxiety commonly associated with it? I was on 4-6mg of Xanax a day, before I found my new green friend, and weaning myself off that much Xanax (when I didn't take Xanax I found myself withdrawing and getting sick). Any specific strains for IBS and massive anxiety (I also used to get the worst panic attacks from my IBS)? I've found that kushes have worked very well so far. The chronic pain of IBS and the intestinal spams that go along with bouts of IBS are horrid to deal with. Any input would be greatly welcomed.

Indicas seem to help me the most with anxiety. Small amounts of Sativa work, but when I smoke a lot of Sativa it seems to make it worse. Not sure about the IBS though. I would keep weening off that xanax. I've heard that stopping xanax cold turkey can actually kill you.
