Wife totally disagrees with me wanting to try Medical MJ

We have it especially tough as it is not "legal" here. I have been in pain for years and currently see a pain specialist and have for years. I want so badly to lower my meds or even try to get off. I think MedMJ can really help but she wont even consider a stealth grow because of the laws and the "danger" to our family.

It is so frustrating that if it were "legal" she would have no prob with it at all and the only reason it's not legal is because of the politicians and officers who personally profit from things staying the same way as they are.

Forget the fact that THEY are the ones endangering us by not only disallowing proper medication to get in the hands of those that need it, even worse, busting into people houses who choose to challenge their "authority" with guns, battering rams, bodyarmor, helmets etc.

This is a human rights atrocity. So many people are in PRISON when what they really need is a little 100% natural organic god given medicine!

I guess I need to start looking for real estate in cali

im sorry that your wife is so against the thought of it! i guess my only advice to you would be try to educate your wife the best you can, and show her its truely beneficial. and if your just growing for yourself there should be no need to worry about gettin caught unless you do something ridiculous. just show her the facts, theyre there, theyve just been misconstrued (sp) in the propaganda. once you look tho, cold hard facts dont lie you know?

I'd suggest moving to somewhere where MMJ is legal
or someone wheres weeds completely legal
like denver, cause isn't it legal there?

Our federal law states that it's a crime to possess Cannabis regardless of where you're located in the US. Colorado has MMJ, which is probably what they meant to say.

But, whoever told you that is clueless.

What state are you in? If you have a clean record and only grow a couple plants with no scale or baggies in the house.........IF you would get caught doing that in my state I'd end up with probation and maybe some community service....

its the propaganda. you can thank the good ol government for forever marring the word cannabis. there are some pretty good statistics out there that are definitely on our side and can help to turn an ignorant shithead into an enlightened being.

Nah man, it's just decriminalized.
Which means if you get busted with less than an ounce you just go to court and pay a $100 ticket. No record or anything
And I'm pretty sure if your over 21 you're allowed under an ounce in your home. . I could be wrong about that though

Unfortunately, I can understand your wife's point of view

. I know too many people who have been arrested growing for personal use. Most recently one of my neighbors, who is in his 60's. Are you in a position where relocating might be possible?

Well, first of all, what state are you living in? Maybe you could get a permit.

Second of all, try showing her some success stories about stealth grows for medicinal purposes. Show her how it can be and has been done. She her the results and what not, even show her some grow journals from here! Try to do as much as possible to entice her. But, do note, if you're caught, you might as well be done for.

Your health comes first! Without that you have nothing and really your wife should be on your side. Its not like you are asking here to let you drag race illegally every day because you like it, your asking her to understand you are in a lot of pain and this is something that could help. Is she a doctor? Dose she have a better solution? Its alwasy easy to say no when its not you that is affected. Has she spent just as much time looking for another aproach then she has spent arguing with you ? ...My guess is no.

Its unlikely they would bother you unless you create some kind of grow house with dozens of plants and $1000 electric bills. Dose your wife ever speed on the freeway? Isnt that illegal not to mention dangerous? Has she ever jaywalked across the street? Illegal and again, putting your whole family at risk of loosing her. Has she ever had a drink with her girfriends and drove home say after a baby shower? You have not even close that with growning your own plant. In many states its just a $100 fine and in some considered a misdemeanor like a traffic ticket.

If it were my relationship, I would say at the very least she would need to consider it logically putting all your benifits in one column and all her negs in another. Children stomp their feet and act on fear, adults discuss things and way the facts. What is the likelyhood the bad things she thinks will happen actually occur? Planes crash every day but its unlikly you will die in a plane crash. Just because something might happen dose not mean it will. If statsticly 1 on 100 people growing a plant get caught, then that needs to play into your logic. To put it another way, she is actually betting aginst you with odds of 100 to 1 that she is right. Probably more like 1000 to 1.

Maybe you can come to some kind of comprimise like grow only one or 2 plants 6 months on and 6 months off. OR make her drive you to the doctor every time you are in pain if she wants you to suffer so much....NOT on her schedule, on your schedule where she will get tired of it and get the message your tired of being in pain.

If you had a kid dying of cancer and there was a cure but the catch, its only avalible in Canada, buying it would be illegal in the US, would she still say no? Would you move to Canada? Maybe that's the comprimise she has to make if the law is so important to here.... move to a legal state. In other words, she need to be willing to give something up if she ment "in sickness and in health. "

Scare her with a move to some town she wont like and I bet she will back down and let you have a plant. Of course you should let her know your doing it for her so she will not have an excuse about the laws or the danger to your family. I bet her morals will change once you show her how much her lifestyle will cange in the downward direction.

You have options, but she needs to meet you half way instead of just saying no. What is more important to your family, your health and well being or your wifes fears?

The legal problems you would be in if caught are real. Your wife is right - it indangers the whole family.

You obviously can find MJ where you live - just purchase for self medicaton - much less danger to the family.

I literally started crying at 2:00. Noone who isn't in chronic pain will understand what it's like.

I thank god that I dont have MS or CerebalPalsy. I've had surgery and multiple procedures done on my back, and I work very hard to stay fully active and work a full time job, I volunteer, and try to be an active member of society and OF COURSE my families safety is paramount to me.

Often I feel like they would just be better off without me around. It's my problems that constantly get in the way of living the "perfect" life with a picket fence, subordinate to all authorities, perfectly happy keeping up with the jones.
