Do you think MMJ will get approved for NY and NYC?

If there is a god and any compassion for the people who need it I HOPE that it is approved.

So stop hoping, and get your sweet little tushie in gear! Become an activist! Write letters and mail "Granny Storm Crow's list" to politicians, doctors and newspapers. Write those letters to the editor and comment on any news articles that discuss cannabis. I'm out in California, working my tail off to get things legal for all of us!

So far, I have written an email to Jeannie Herer (Jack's wife) and my last snail-mail letter to Stephanie Landa (who finally gets out of prison on the 13th of October!

) and answered several forum questions about cannabis. I have also sent off Granny's list to another activist and I am just on my second cup of tea! Later on, I will hit Yahoo news and start in on commenting on the articles.

So what are YOU doing today?

Keep busy and we will have NY a legal MMJ state sooner rather than later!

As Granny says get off your butt and start writing. I've written to Paterson, my state and local reps (and others who are working on this bill,) Schumer and Guilibrand and Obama too for good measure. So far I've written each about three times and have only got one response, from my idiot repub rep in the house saying he'll only vote for it if you can only get it at the pharmacy, no disp and no growing your own. Meaning he wants big pharma to line his pockets for his vote.

The more people they hear from the more they have to start listening. I do know that since the house has passed it the last three years now, once the senate votes yes paterson has said he'll sign it right away! So bug everyone you can in the senate!

On another note, does anyone here know when the senate plans to vote on this bill? I know it's passed two or three commitees now, but are there more before it goes to a vote?

anyway NY recently reformed the rockefeller law http://www.huffingtonpost.com/eric-t..._b_312776.html so hopefully we are on the right path here.
