Re: House Bill 1393 Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act

Dear [Representative or Senator's last name]:

I'm writing to ask your support for HB 1393, the Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act introduced by Representative Mark Cohen and referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services.

[Why this bill is important to you, and stories of people you know who might benefit.]

I agree with Mr. Cohen's statements that medical marijuana is "an idea whose time has come," that now is the time for "cures, not wars on patients," and that we need to have a "new, honest image of marijuana."

Thank you for considering my views on this bill.

Sincerely,

[YOUR NAME]

Re: Pa hearing on september 2nd YOU MUST BE THERE

I wish it was. Wouldn't it be crazy we could all meet up there and see who we're really talking to. RIGHT AFTER WE GET THAT BILL PASSED! So will we know that day whether or not the bill has passed or will we have to wait?

PA4MMJ!!!!!!

EDIT.

Just printed multiple copies of this post out gonna hand them to everyone in the world. just texted/called/told everyone I know about it!

Re: Pa hearing on september 2nd YOU MUST BE THERE

Making law in PA find all the steps at the link below

http://www.legis.state.pa.us/WU01/VC.../makingLaw.pdf

if the bill does not get past the COMMITTEE ON HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES

Then we no longer have a bill and it is dead

if it passes the committee then on to the house if it passes the house then on to the senate

this is only the first step but it is very important people show up in PHILADELPHIA

PENNSYLVANIA CONVENTION CENTER
12 AND MARKET STREETS, PHILADELPHIA

If you can not make it at least submit Written testimony

thanks for posting this I was wondering what happened to that. I can't drive to Philly but I will write up a nice statement. I will force my peers to do the same.

Re: Pa hearing on september 2nd YOU MUST BE THERE

Chuck Homan of MedicalMovement.com has lobbied 20 of 26 HHS Committee Members and believes the bill will be reported out by at least a 15-11 vote which could be as high as 20-6 … IF enough citizens contact their representatives NOW. We will present the best legislative case in Philly on September 2, and you can be part of it. Thanks for all you do.

This is what everyone keeps saying. but I say shut up. sorry but people are giving up hope without even trying. True PA may be pretty conservative but that doesn't mean it's not worth trying. whatever.
