Just a question, has obama stayed true with his word? I mean has there been any raids in states that allow medical marijuana recently? I apologize if this isnt the place to be posting.

i know there was atleast one in california like right after the attorney general said no more raids. IDK if they've stopped since then.

This is the only raid I know of that took place after Obama's inauguration. February 09.

Pretty sure Willie was convicted of Tax Evasion or Fraud or something like that - they don't typically give out government jobs to felons, though surprising how many cabinet members become felons (especially under Reagan, half his cabinet got arrested)

To answer the original question, there hasn't been any DEA conducted raids since the ones in February. Now it's local police who are actually going through due process to find clubs that are operating illegally in the first place

Wow, I guess TWO people is "many" hunh? Two more withdrew their nominations (Nancy Killefer & Bill Richardson), and Timothy Geitner and Tom Daschle paid back what they owed.

There are a LOT of clubs in California that are going to be shut down in the next several months, BUT it's not due to DEA action, it's because they aren't following the State AG's guidelines, and/or are not legal under City or County Ordinances.

For example:

In Los Angeles the City Council initiated a city-wide moratorium on new Dispensaries in 2007, however, they left a loophole in the ordinance that somehow allowed clubs to submit a hardship application and open anyway. Most of these clubs didn't bother to apply for the proper business licenses and permits, and are outright illegal. The City Council, two years later has finally closed that loophole and is now hearing the hardship cases. Out of the over 500 hardship applications, they've heard over 40 so far, and haven't approved a single one. Now those businesses are operating illegally, and the city AG has to move to shut them down.


BUT again, these are clubs that DESERVE to be shut down because they were not in it for the patients in the first place, they were profiteers who didn't care about MMJ or the movement.


I only support LEGAL clubs who have been in business long enough to have gotten all their permits. The clubs I support are also members of GLACA and ASA.
