I'm just starting to try MJ for my Crohn's. The past two weeks, I had been running to the restroom (and barely making it there) 4 to 6 times a day. This past week, I used MJ 4 times, usually after dinner. It quieted my stomach and stopped the spasms that I would get after eating that would cause me to run to the bathroom. I was also able to sleep all night thanks to my stomach/guts not spasming. While my experience with it thus far is limited, I see anecdotal evidence for my situation that it seems to help. I'm too new to MJ as a Crohn's option at this point to comment any further though. I would love to be able to choose different strains to help with my symptoms. More pain relief would be very welcomed. I can deal with the GI tract stuff right now. It's this damn arthritis-like inflammation all over in my joints that is the real kicker right now. Even my jaws are stiff and sore and it makes it tough to chew and open my mouth. What a crazy disease this is, and it seems as though more and more people are getting it all the time.

"Johne's disease" in cattle and how it parallels Crohn's in humans is pretty remarkable. It makes a lot of sense that perhaps it is in the food system since we are such a red meat and dairy loving society. Of course, the FDA wouldn't ever admit as much I'm sure...

You know, its almost alarming how little attention Crohn's gets in the media. It's such a debilitating disease, and more and more people seem to have it. I never would have thought about cannabis until I saw the news article that MN was up for a vote on MMJ. After trying about 14 different medications with no improvement, I figured I had nothing to lose, so here I am. I'm also tired of doctors just throwing medication at me before they do any sort of diagnostic testing. I've been helped greatly in some regards by the medical community (my insulin pump has been great for example.) But with Crohn's, and combined with my Diabetes, the docs don't seem to know what to do for me since the two diseases like to fight with each other.

Man I would love to be able to pick different strains.

I usually buy an ounce of mids for 125 and its very good mids, maybe 1 seed in the bag if that. Usually there are noticeable trichs on the buds themselves. This bud works very well, keeping my stomach at bay for hours. Now I have a very severe case of Chrones.. AND UC. So my bathroom situation maybe a little bit more outrageous then your alls. On average I prolly go to the bathroom 11-12 times a day. Even without being in a noticable flare. I dont get fevers as much anymore, yet I still cramp the way I do. I dont get sick or nausea as much anymore, yet I still go to the bathroom.

The mids that I smoke are awesome dont get me wrong, but its no dank. I have a dank hook but he has a price at 30 a gram and man, I work at burger king lol + i still have medical bills I have to pay for ( ive been 18 since last December and just got on Medicaid a few weeks ago ) If I do sometimes decide to buy dank it's unbelievable on how it works for me.

To be honest, schwag (dirty Mexican brick ) actually works somewhat, but its no where near anything id want it to be. Thus being said, I'm gonna get back to packing up stuff in my room for the soon trip to Denver, where I've already been contacted with CareGiver Information and GI doctor imformation.

Do you know Medicaid is for the state it is issued in? You need to get federal Medicare to be able to use it in other states.

Don't want you getting out there and getting fkt.

Yea, I'm smoking some mid right now. And wow, that price is crazy. I can get some excotics, but it's rare. But it only cost me 55 an eight. But you should keep looking in your area. I'm sure there are better deals out there.

Well im on vacation away from home for a week and i cant smoked down here. Im doing horrible. I cant eat without getting cramps so bad i feel like throwing up. Im having at least 10-15 trips to the restroom a day. I only eat a bowl of ceral in the morning. I cant eat lunch or dinner due to the massive amount of pain. This is by far the worst ive ever been. All i can think about during my cramps is how great and relevied i feel after lighting up a J. When i get home im going to get some dank and a new piece to make me feel better.

I feel kind of guilty almost reading about the troubles you guys are having. I used to be that way, I know what it feels like, I know how much it fucking sucks. But these days when I'm not having a flare up, I'm almost completely healthy. None of my friends who I met at college had any idea that I had serious health problems until I told them I had Crohn's and explained what it was.

So, I know how you guys feel, but don't give up on finding the right balance of pharmeceuticals and weed.

Me and my parents have discussed this ( they help me alot with these kinda issues ).

We're pretty sure that i'd be accept becuase of the type of disease, and how long ive had it, and the fact that I wasn't working at sixteen because of the illness ( or some shit like that )
and it should be fairly easy to get on Colorado's Medicaid, also, their state laws are less extensive on getting on Medicaid as it is here in Missouri. I'm not worrying too too much.

Oh the fun. Have an abscess that has broken through. I can see a hole outside of my bumhole. Anyone else get these? Do they heal on their own? I've always heard that you want to get these drained, but it's drained now...

My mom said she's had these before and they've healed for her on their own (she's a Crohnie too.)

Smoked again last night. Got rid of my stomach cramps for a while at least (been getting them a lot after I eat lately.) I woke up about an hour after I went to bed and had sweated through my pillows and had to get up to go to the bathroom. Had to go again upon waking up this morning, but joint pain isn't too bad today and no more trips to the bathroom yet today.

Well, few reasons. My stepmom has alot of relatives in CO.

And lemme put this together for you so you can see why we need a new start.

When I had my first hospital visit for what we thought was just UC my stepmom
was checked into the hospital at the same time for her first surgery to remove
cancerous tissues from her breast. She had breast cancer at the same time
that my main issues were going on. My dad had to take us to both of our
appointments when we needed to. Me and my stepmom were both extremely sick,
when she got done with radation, it was prolly a year later when they found out it was UC/Chrones for me, and at that time my grandma, my dads mom, was diagnosed with
lung cancer and was put on hospice in the care of our home.

Theres a few more reasons that go to this equation of us moving, but its the mere fact that we all need some new sights. A new start into being healthy, to get away from this tiny ass town.

And theres MMJ in colorado ( thats my own reason )

Oh yeah, its also going to be awesome to meet people that arent begging me for weed or calling me daily to try and get drugs, so a new set of friends would be great .

I was diagnosed with UC in the summer before High school...so summer of 05'. I was in the hospital for a week, but totally out of it for at least a month. They put me on everything, finally, prednisone worked. Only for a short while. About february into my freshman year, i went through another flare up. I was already failing due to missing so much school first semester. So that stress along with the flare up probably made things worse. Once again hospitalized for about a week, this time i needed blood transfusion. I missed school from pretty much end of February all the way through march. Dropped all but one class (im very good at math). This time it was much worse. I had cramps like i never had. some so painful it caused me to vomit a few times. So i was extremly dehydrated.

When in the hospital a second time, they put me on remacaid. It worked wonders. Havent had a flare up in the past 2 years and only going in once every 8 weeks for another treatment. No more steroids, no more methyltrexate (cant stand the smell of rubbing alcohol anymore. makes me want to puke). i feel energetic. I thought i had it bad, but reading these stories on here makes me feel lucky that i only had it bad about 2 times. but, i do know what all of you are going through.

The one thing i hate about UC is trying to explain it to people. most people ask "oh, so like ben stiller in along came polly?" and i have to explain its much more serious. Im not uncomfortable about it, its just people dont realize what i/we face.

Only smoked a few times, dont see how it would make a difference, so guess i cant request it.

We actually never even knew that she had crones disease until one day she had an attack. We got a call on the phone from his mom saying that his sister was once again hospitalized for horrific stomach pains. Something was wrong with the lining of her small intestine so they did a surgery on her and now all the waste from her body goes into a pouch Too bad she doesnt smoke weed I would tell her about it. Does it actually help?

I feel for anyone who has Crohn's...a good family friend of ours has had it since she was about 20 years old. This woman is now about 45-50 or so. If I remember correctly, the doctors can't even believe she's still alive, as I think she's only got like 6 feet or less of intestines left inside of her. I did a report on her for speech class years ago and I must say, it made people def. cry. I def. aced that paper. I def. say, if there's at least 1 group of people that should be able to take and use whatever they want, it's Crohn's patients, as the suffering they are put through is astronomical.
