I feel like I have some symptoms of crohn's but it could just be IBS. Depending on what I eat my stomach sometimes hurts really really bad (I've almost passed out from the pain a couple of occasions) what other symptoms do you crohns sufferers go through? Does chrohns even have ANYTHING to do with what you eat?

I spent day and night for a couple of years with a girl with bad Chrohn's. She had 11 bowel resections by the age of 29. Shit was terrible. Didn't matter what she ate. Remicade seemed to help and the Remicade blends but they fucked up her skin over time.

She had to get the baby feeding tubes threaded through the abscesses down below and they would stay in until they finished draining and finally fell out.

Shit is brutal. If you have it you know it. IBS is like Chrohn's NA (non alcoholic)

Have you tried modifying your diet? I also have Celiac Disease and have not eaten anything with gluten in it for about 8 years now. Often times, people with Crohn's tend to be gluten intolerant as well. Dairy seems like a problem for some as well.

I know what you mean about feeling different, believe me. The social aspect, or lack thereof, can be the worst part.
Iron arm is like it feels like my arm is made of iron. Well, thats not a good example. Kinda like when you sleep on your arm and it falls asleep and it feels real heavy, thats kinda like iron arm. I've never heard of gluten free. WHen i was first diagnosed 5 years ago, i went on a dairy free diet. and i concluded i wasnt lactose intalerant.

Was having a bad night last night. Stomach cramps and running to the bathroom. I finally worked up the nerve to try some more MJ (I know, weird, but I'm just not used to the feeling of being high.) Took 3 nice hits of it and it seemed to help. The stomach cramps stopped, and I was able to sleep through the night (9 hours!) without having to get up to go to the bathroom. (Took the day off from work to sleep in.) Even my very sore joints in my fingers and elbows are less painful today. Just ate a really nice lunch and so far, so good. I was starving, so that makes me happy. Might have to try again tonight. I'm strugling with conflicting thoughts about legality, my job, yada yada. I think I just need to put that stuff aside and just do what's best for me. I haven't tried it for multiple days in a row yet, so maybe that is in order. I've lost about 8 lbs. in the last couple of weeks, so I need something to stabilize me a bit. Today is a good day though, and I hope everyone else gets the relief they need. Positive thoughts your way gang....

Oh, I gotcha. Kinda like neuropathy.
Yeah, check out some info online about Celiac disease and gluten free diets. No Wheat, Rye, Oats, or Barley. I takes a lot of discipline and lots of label reading. Having a health foods store close by to me has been a lifesaver, as they carry many gluten-free products. Before I went gluten free, I thought I was lactose intolerant and allergic to everything. I ended up eating a lot of crackers and other wheat products because I didn't know what to eat anymore. Turned out, that was the worst thing I could have done. When I went gluten-free, I saw almost instant improvement. The Crohn's is the most recent thing for me, but I'm glad I'm gluten free because it really helped me and I'm sure it helps my Crohn's now.

Yea, I have tried all kinds of diets. Glutien free, dairy free, and so on. I don't have crohn's but my doc says that it looks just like it from the pics they took so he has been treating me for it. It sucks having to force feed yourslef. I know without MJ I don't have an appietie and always forget to eat because it just seems to make me feel better, but then you end up losing a shit load of weight and no enegery. Rice seems to be the only thing I can keep down and not hurt me too much. It sucks now thought because my sister is visiting and I can't smoke. My mom understands thought so she lets me smoke. Thank god for her.

Diet don't really hel people with full blown Chrohn's. Maybe you have Colitis.

Chrohn's attacks a lot more than the intestines and colon. Chrohn's sufferers get fistulas and abscesses to go along with the ulcers, bleeding, diarrhea, and all the other things.

IBS, Colitis, Chrohn's they are related but having had one and been around several people with all of them Chrohn's is by far the worst. My mom and best friend both had Colitis with both having to get part of their colon removed. I just watched one friend die from Chrohn's related illness and have spent weeks of my time visiting a friend I love who spends months at a time in the hospital with her Chrohn's.

It is one ugly disease.

Wel i'm saying diet doesn't really help me. Yea, I have spent my share of time in the Hopital. Not including all of my indocopies, colonoscopies, pill cam, barbium swollow, and other abdomin scaning test. It's part of the life. You kinda get use to it after a while.

This is the shitty part. When I was recently in the hospital about a little over a month ago they did another biospsy of the colan. This was proved to be 50/50 EVEN at Ulcerative Colitis / Chrones, so i have the worst of each world espically the diet. Thats why i bring up the diet stuff

I understand. I had similar test resualtes. I have learned that it's more about how much food I eat. If I eat a large portion of food it seems to upset my stomach a lot. BUt if I eat little portions, it makes eating easier. I Still stay away from things with high fat and sugar and I quit drinking soda's. I only drink water now. I

My Infiniti G20 is powered w/ a SR20DE. Im thinking about swaping in either a Turbo SR20 or a Sr20VE.

But back on topic. Those baruim test really upset my stomach for like 2 weeks after the tests.

Yea, def the SR20DET. THe last time I took that test I was really sick and everytime I would drink it, I would keep throwing up. It took forever to get it down. I was there for like 3 hours.
