So what's goin' on with the Crohnies tonight?
I've been on the Pred for two days now and my hands are usable again. Shit is making my bloodsugars difficult to control though. Not sure how much longer I can take it, but man what a relief to have a couple days that I'm not screaming with pain. Trying to decide if I should smoke tonight or not. It usually raises my bloodsugar slightly, so I'm thinking its a bad idea while I'm on the Pred. I am so bored though. All I've done is work and be sick/rest for weeks. Talk about cabin fever and depression.

Hope you're all doing well tonight. Smoke some for me.

Glad the Pred's working for you! Though the blood sugar being out of whack must suck big time.

I'm doing alright, ate a firecracker an hour ago and am starting to come up hard haha. I figured I'd get fucked up before starting my liquid diet tomorrow and then the nasty prep tomorrow night for my upper endoscopy and Pillcam I'm doing on Monday.

Ahh what a few day its been. I bought alot of valium, and so I been takein em along with smokin bud. Constipating me a little bit buy my stomach been forever great and ive not been waking up at night.

Anyone else try valium for their stomach?

I haven't, but I have thought of it. Stress is so bad for my guts. I figured something to calm me down might be a good idea. Are you getting really sleepy or anything with that combo?
Glad to hear you are doing well bigd. How much/how often do you smoke so that you feel better?

I didn't take the Pred today. Hands/fingers/wrists/feet/ankles were as bad as ever when I woke up this morning, so I figured it can't be doing much for me. Tired of my bloodsugars being whacked from the Pred. That makes me feel as sick as anything. Time for plan C I thinks.... (Cannabis.)

Your not supposed to just randamly stop and start taking Pred. I hope you havn't.

I dont combine the valium + marijuana unless im at home. It does make me sleepy, but not to bad if your used to them. Id certainly suggest trying one at home after work long enough before you go to bed just to see how you are on them. They are an anti-depressant/muscle relaxer so it definatly helps in depression and stomach. I dont mind taking them, but I'm not trying to get addicted or screw my liver up, just figured why not make it even easier on my stomach for a few days.

As for smoking, I have a more active colon then most. I get lots of cramps, not tons, but enough to smoke one hits usually every hour or so. I dont suffer tons from energy loss, or fevers or sickness, but I just go alotttt. Sometimes It does get hospital bad. I probably go to the hospital 2-3 times a year =\. Lets hope the things will go better.

The Valium (maybe, i'm not a doctor so dont quote me ) might help with the hands/fingers/wrists/ankles.

I also dont smoke the best of the best dope, so I usually smoke two-three joints worth a day. I usually buy mids at 140/zip. Still pretty decent quality dope. Im satisfied with that until I move to Colorado.

Yeah, I did. I told the doc that it usually messes up my bloodsugars and that I might need to go off of it if that was the case. I asked him if there was any problem with stopping it abruptly and he didn't seem to think there was. I'm not sure how high a dose people usually take, but he prescribed 10mg for me and I took that amount once and cut it in half down to 5mg for 2 days. So only 3 days on it. I can't say I see any major problems so far?

It's usually only a problem if you've been on it for a week or more. And, 10mg is a pretty low dose to start with, each time I've been on it, I've started at 40mg or more.

P.S. If any of you guys ever get the camera pill test done, the belt you get to wear is hilarious! I look like I have an explosive device around my waist.

The actual endoscopy went alright, they had to give me more Fentanyl halfway through because I was still awake and my esophagus was trying to get rid of the tube haha, but other than that, good. I still have the cool belt on, have to take that back at 3:45. Then I'm going to go take my bong out for a spin.

Yeah, it was interesting...I don't think I fully went under until they hit me with the second round of drugs. The nurse was a little surprised because she said that they would hit me pretty strongly, and a few minutes later, I was pretty much still wide awake. Oh well, it's over now.

I did! Went to Hideaway last week I think it was and picked up one of their little mini bongs for $15. It's a good starter and portable too. But, I didn't get to actually use it until yesterday. Since it's so small, it's a bit harsher, but I really can't complain for $15. I can't decide if I want to go use that by the river or eat a firecracker...
