Should I be worried?

First off I am a legit socal medical cannabis user. Now, last week pg&e replaced the power pole in my alley, this Tuesday a sheriffs deputy is out in the alley looking at my power meter and writing shit down. I do not sell, I buy only from other patients, and I grow five indoor plants With one 400w hid lamp. I broke my back a few years back and I have had a card for about a year. Should I be worried and scarred as hell because I sure as hell am.

Well in theory, as long as he was part of the local police department you shouldn't be too worried. Even if they do raid you, you can prove that you're a patient.

But of course theory and practice can be very different.

Make a few copies of your recommendation and tape them visibly to the door leading to your grow room, and in the room itself.

If the cops think they're gonna make a bust and decide to raid your house, that might make them realise their mistake before they start breaking shit.

Regardless of what may be loaded in your shotshell(lead, rubber, salt), if you fire on someone you had better make sure that your actions are within the laws that rule the use of Deadly Force, i.e. you are under threat of serious bodily harm and/or death, with out the possibility of retreat(specially California). Because eventhough a shotgun loaded with saltrock may not be deadly, and it is pretty tempting to unload that sucker in some thieving punk's ass, it will be considered a deadly weapon in a court of law. IF YOU ARE NOT JUSTIFIED IN USING DEADLY FORCE, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING YOUR HOMEMADE "LESS LETHAL" SHOTSHELLS. Else you will find yourself in a legal world of shit. Don't find out the hard way man.

Like I said it's for home defense, and I don't give a shit about it being less lethal I just dont't want to destroy my own home. If some punk actualy made it up in my familys home without getting knocked the fuck out then yeah they're getting blasted, after all they are not just there to shake your hand .It's not like I'm out doing drive buy saltings, what the hell are thinking... but thanks for the input I guess

I think if you post copies of your rec. around the grow areas, they will think before they start getting rough with shit.
so it will save you in the long run.

i could be way off but isn't the electrical prices and usage in cali EXTREMELY high, he might just be taking data and wen sumthin happens and u guys out there have to cut back electricity usage they know shit

The cop was just doing his job.. He prob isnt even thinking about you.. He was prob writing down information from the pole that they replaced.... This is the best advice! Make BIG copies of your card and paste them up on the wall everywhere. Take photos of them up there so the cops can't say later that they didn't know you were growing legally.

A local cop in CA shouldn't be interested in card holders, it's only the DEA you have to worry about, and they say they don't go after individuals.


I'd say you're probably safe but I can't think of a single logical reason for the cop to be interested in your power meter unless he thinks you're growing or the power company thinks you messed with it.
