Comin to Cali, a few questions

So I'm moving to Cali in the next few months, I knew the where exactly but that was before the .

So naturally i forgot .

I have a few questions about obtaining a MMJ card, about the dispensaries etc.
  • I have been diagnosed with ADHD, and have Chronic pain in my neck/upper back. Is this enough to qualify for a card?
  • Regarding the dispensaries, Are they generally laid back or is it all business?
  • How much would i be allowed to carry legally? I've heard from 4oz to 3lbs
  • What do the prices generally range from? around where I am now i can get an 1/8 of some Cali Dank for 60, should i expect to pay the same or less?

If i asked any questions that are obvious or stupid i apologize in advance, i usually just troll the Recreational forum.

Getting a card is ridiculously easy. If you have documentation you will get one. As far as the dispensaries, there are ones that are more strict and others that are more laid back. You have to remember that they operate basically at the tolerance of the local authorities, there is no specific law allowing the operation of dispensaries. They operate under the idea of being "non-profit", but that is a load of bullshit cause they are bringing in a lot of money. As far as prices, the more developed clubs will have different grades of weed such as outdoor, dank, and super dank shit. The cheapest I pay for 1/8 is 25 for some good outdoor. And as far as how much weight you can carry, it starts at a 8 oz all the way up to 3 lbs in some counties (like mine).

I've got a questions also that i haven't looked up. Do you have to claim residentsy in CA to obtain a card. And isn't it you have to live in the state of CA for a year to officially claim it. I always wondered this.

The only identification that was asked of me was a driver's licence, and i'm pretty sure you need proof of residence to obtain a CA licence.

Pricing depends on the dispensary, some are "discount" stores and the range is 25-50$/e, but if you want consistent high quality, you'll be paying 50-70/e.

Any doctor in Cali can recommend cannabis for a patient, regardless of whether they are a cannabis doc or not. A doctor can write on a script or letterhead that this patient may use cannabis for their medical conditions, and that's legit. However, most regular docs hesitate or refuse to do so, and that's why ppl go to the cannabis docs.
You must prove California residency along with your medical records which show your diagnosis/assessment.
Acceptable medical records must come from an M.D., D.O., PA-C, FNP. Some cannabis docs accept records from LAc (licensed acupuncturists), D.C.s (chiropractors), Psychologists (PhD), or Physical Therapists.
