Medical marijuana for a person in my position

Hey, everybody

I'm seriously considering trying to get a medical card soon (in in ca) but i had a few questions.

I suffer from social anxiety and Ocd which in turn causes depression(im fucked up i know lol), i've taken klonopin and it really helped but I don't like how eventually i just have to take more to feel at ease, i don't really like the idea of being dependent on any substance at all.

I've smoked marijuana before and have had mixed results, sometimes i had really good highs but towards the end of me smoking regulary, they were almost 100% heart racing panic attacks, which led to me to stop, i mean what would be the point ya know? Another thing i didn't like is how i would feel burnt out mentally and just slow/stupid the next day sometimes days after i smoked, im used to being sharp so this really bothered me.

i've smoked a few times more since i stopped regularly, and it seemed to help a lot, i believe this to be because i smoked very small (really small) amounts, and this elevated my mood and put me at ease, as opposed to when i first started and was basically trying to keep up with my friends who would go through like 2-3 blunts of medical weed(and this is when i first started smoking ever)

so... with all that being said lol, im ready to approach using medical marijuana as a medicine more and take dosages that work for me, instead of just getting fucked up, but since i feel im kind of sensitive i'd like the ideas to what strains are good for me, and maybe what to stay away from


i've read that sticky on the top, and it did help, but i was wondering if there were any more strains you all could suggest for a person with my conditions

ocd, anxiety, and something that I can function on, and that's not extremely long lasting (over 3 and half hours) and a smooth come down, where i wont feel foggy/dumb the next day

Im not sure how extreme your social anxiety or OCD are but i have similar problems with social anxiety, i really just dont talk to poeple i dont no, and sometimes im almost scared of people. It really sucks, Im open with my friends, talk lots but i just dont feel comfortable around poeple i dont no, and it sucks cause i cant talk to hot girls

Anyway ive only smoked weed a half dozen times but a few times it even made me quiet around my own friends...im not really sure why, and a few other times it made me more outgoing...so idk
