My problem is my primary care physician is anti-medical marijuana. The only doctor I can get a record showing as medical condition resulting in chronic pain from is my chiropracter. And I don't think that qualifies. Anyone have any advice?

Your doctor has to give you your medical records. Just go in and request to take your medical records.

Acquire the records of your chronic pain from you chiropractor and make sure that you take them with you when you make an appt to talk to a doc about medical marijuana.

You are in Colorado right? Here is some more info on becoming a medical marijuana patient in the state of Colorado.

The problem is that my Primary Care Physician is a joke so I've never gone to him for my problems. Therefore he has no records of my chronic pain, sleep disorder and eating disorder. I don't trust most western doctors. But, all the Cannabis clinics in CO who are writing recommendations require a medical record from your PC physician with at least 2 mentions of the symptoms. Puts in me in quite a bind. Especially since my chiropractor isn't qualified enough, and probably doesn't even keep medical records since he's not an M.D., just physical therapy. I've never seen him with a chart or anything of the like. He just remembers everything about me. Cool guy.

The clinic in CO requires you to send in your medical records to GET an appointment to begin with. Therefore my fear of not qualifying and not having the opportunity to even discuss it. Thanks for the link, I'll be sure to read over all that.

Well, I just finished reading all that. Most of the information is the same as what I've read, but there was some new stuff. It says any Physician... so could that include my chiropractor?

Thanks

ah.. i duno if this helps you, but I got my card with just the records of years of chiropractic treatment and documentation from a doctor recommending me to see a chiropractor... in CA, not CO... so I'm not sure.

im in irvine too.. planning on going in today to see dr. gitter.. a friend of a friend got his card there so hopefully ill get it.
i have no medical documentation, but ive had trouble sleeping all my life... that and anxiety and depression, which all seem to be valid reasons according to my research... not sure if ill use the depression thing since that seems a lil iffy but yeh.

heres a link to a site with various doctors in the area.
http://www.canorml.org/prop/215physicians.html

ill post back later today and let you know how it goes...

hey lamerkid.
definitely go to doc patel. I'm down in irvine and it was seriously the most ghetto place i've seen in a while. Had to walk through construction to get to the actual office. it's on sunset right off the 101 but the doctor is really nice. I brought all my stuff but she didn't even look at it. the place used to be a clinic but i guess so many stoners started going there that she doesn't even do regular stuff anymore, just mmj recomendations. This old guy came in for a refill for his perscription and got pissed off cause the receptionist said that the doc isn't seeing "normal" patients anymore.
