I dont think that marijuana actually helps half the diseases and problems its prescribed for, such as anxiety & asthma. Just a few days ago I saw a segment on CBS about medical pot in cali. They explained how many people play the system and just make up shit. this pisses me off, because it makes actual medical users and even recreational users look bad

any thoughts?

Marijuana for asthma? I understand you would be using a vaporizer... but wtf, realy pot for asthma?

I do however agree with marijuana for some illnessess because some weed is very calming and a great pain reliever.

Weed actually does help asthma in some people but, for obvious reasons, not everyone is helped by it.

There are many people that have found that Cannabis is the best possible treatment for their health problems!!! Few people are able to use the system in a wrong way these days.. There are also many documentary's showing people that use medical marijuana and have found it the best treatment for them!!

Did you not see the thread here where someone said they were having an asthma attack, and didn't have their inhaler...but took a drag from a joint and he was breathing alright again?

I think it could be used for lots of things...I also believe people are abusing the system.

Yeah, grass is safer than a lot of prescribed medications and even some kinds of food. When I went to get some meds to help with my insomnia they gave me terrible side effects like headaches, shivering without being cold, nausea, etc.

i was having and asthma attack and didnt have my inhaler but i happened to have a lit joint....lol right

I agree the CBS segment portrayed marijuana users in a bad light, that was obviously intentional. The crazy thing was they overlooked an even bigger story that was right there in front of them, minister Imler even mentioned it when he said proposition 215 was not mean to create a new industry.

They overlooked the fact that a new industry has been created, and it is immensely popular and it has the potential to create an extraordinary number of jobs and to collect billions of tax dollars for the federal and state coffers.

This country has a decision to make, it can either keep growing the judicial industries or it can nurture the marijuana industry. Both options will create jobs, but the marijuana industry will do it without having to arrest a million people every year.

I do hate how people abuse the system. "My back hurts and I have scoliosis, give me drugs!" All it does is make it harder for people who really do need these drugs to get them.
