Growing MMJ an apartment?

I have been trying to read some laws regarding the rights of MMJ card holders to grow in their apartments, but I can't seem to get a straight answer. Would you have to tell your landlord if you were a card holder and growing (provided that your address is properly registered with the MMJ program, and you were within the "legal" quantities of mature plants)? If your landlord finds out, can they legally evict you and/or press charges (again, provided it isn't written explicitly in your lease that you can't grow MMJ)? My gf is considering applying for a card for her debilitating migraines, as well as her mother for her cancer, but we aren't sure what the details on apartments are.

Thanks for any info!

cant go wrong by just asking your landlord. it may not be the answer you want to hear, but could save you a lot of hard times later on.

besides i dont see why it would be a problem if you have your card.

I doubt it would be a problem for someone within their legal rights. But it enver hurts to ask, I'm pretty sure as long as you keep any odor down and don't bother anyone they would care less.

You could just properly post your documentation in case they are in your apartment for some reason, which they shouldn't be without informing you unless it's an emergency.

You may not want to ask in case they tell you "no", which they can't. Or because then they may see that as giving their consent, which they may not want to with the hazy laws.

Another reason they may not be okay with it is your light setup. Is it a fire hazard? I've always wondered about this but keep things on the patio now :-)
