Hello! I have a couple questions regarding driving and marijuana. Is it not legal to drive a car in possession of marijuana if you have a cannabis card and/or are a care-provider? And the kicker-- is it legal to operate a vehicle while high if you have a cannabis card? What can a cop do?

well there is no way that they can test to tell how high you are. So really, there is no law that can stop you from driving while high!

like what he said there is no way for them to tell if you are medicated or how medicated you are so as long as it doesnt impair your driving skills you would have no problems with cops and as long as they dont see you sparking up in the car too

Say they have suspicion that you are under the influence due to smell in car, red eyes, etc. Can they arrest you for DUI despite your legal use of it? Basically, I am asking: Is high while driving regarded the same as drinking and driving if you can legally use it?

Say you got pulled over for going through a red. He notices you look really baked, and has suspicion to search and finds weed. Can he add that to the offenses on the ticket?

In California, it is legal to have marijuana in your trunk while you possesses a medical card.
Don't know about the DUI thing.

Yes, you can get a ticket for driving high. They do a test where you have to follow their finger with your eyes without moving your head. Also, if you get pulled over by the highway patrol, theyll take you to jail for having weed in your car, evn if you have a medi license. I have first hand experiance.

and as far as driving, when i was issued my card i was told no driving for 8 hours after smoking... not sure if that's the law or what but its what the doctor told me.
