never really heard about it being bad for premee's.

did you research it ya know, google and stuff?

my guess is if your fully developed now, being born premature wont affect you (unless if you left with some form of a disease or birth defect)

sometimes when babies are born premature systems like te ciruculatory system (or respiratory, like your afraid of) isnt fully developed. Check wikipedia for more information.

But Its very safe to say that no, marijuana poses no health risk to you, nor does it post a risk to any of the billions of people who have smoked it.

Nobody has ever died from smoking marijuana.

definately worse for you than weed. there's no solid research on the effects of marijuana on your lungs, but given that you inhale less smoke, and there are considerably fewer carcinogens in mj its definitely less harmful than cigarettes

if you're worried about health risks you shouldn't be doing drugs. that's exactly what cannabis is, a drug.

as far as being born premature, it really depends on what week of the gestational period you were born. as far as the circulatory system and nervous system, those are pretty much completely developed by the end of the second trimester (28 weeks). a lot of over protective mothers talk about their premature babies and all that does is instill some bad ideas into their child. the only real risk premature babies look at into their child/adult lives is ADHD and anti-social behavior.

so in short, if you absolutely feel the need to smoke then you should be completely fine unless you do have some sort of disease/syndrome that you're not talking about. i do not have access to your medical file nor does anybody else on here so it's really hard to say, but basically the drug shouldn't kill you.

and for the nicotine fix... cigarettes are nasty, dip instead.

if your lungs weren't fully developed when you were born, i would think they are by now . you just come out too soon it doesn't mean you stopped growing.
i was 9 weeks early, they put you in an incubator, it's like bringing an outdoor plant inside to finish her off.

@ The OP... Like another blade already said, I'm no doctor, nor do I have access to your medical file, so I can't say for sure (and neither can anyone else on the internet, btw)... Your best bet would be to ask your doctor, and get a couple opinions. Do some major reading in books and from reliable sources on-line. You mentioned having asthma -- there have been studies that show cannabis to actually be beneficial to asthmatics, as it dilates their bronchial tubes and makes it easier for them to breathe...

Good post, except for this part, which is actually kind of false. People have actually died from smoking MJ... And it's more than just a few. People with certain heart problems shouldn't smoke MJ. Valvular disease (especially aortic valve disease), and Long QT syndrome are 2 diseases where smoking MJ can kill you. In Long QT, people have died while in the act of smoking... So yeah, smoking weed can kill some people.

Your statement would be better worded like this: Nobody has ever died from a health problem that was caused by smoking marijuana... Or something along those lines... But yeah, I know what you were saying -- Just wanted to point out that there are some people who shouldn't smoke - as it can be potentially fatal...
