CALI medical smokers..how do you open a dispensary

hey whats up. i live in socal, moved here about 8 months ago, got my card about 3 months ago.. anyways....how would i got about opening my own dispensary???

what about being a caregiver?

can i just call up the dispensaries and ask them if they are interested in getting a new supplier or how does that all work?

if you own/run a dispensary, do you have to run it like a typical business, get a business operators license and all that bullshit...pay in your taxes? i've never had taxes added onto my medicine i get at the dispensaries.

There are a lot of things to look at before taking this road, not the least of which would be the motivating factor for doing it. As for the assorted CA rules and regs, get a copy of Prop. 215, and it's supplemental SB 420, and study up on how to walk the legal tightrope highwire act. There are various county and city regs you'll need to know first as well( some outright prohibit dispensaries, despite that contradicting state laws).

As for being a caregiver, the same doc that sets up your recommendation can get you a caregiver form that allows you to make purchases for your charges.

Most dispensaries will not discuss supply issues over the phone, but you can try and establish contact in person with the folks who will.

Any true dispensary, if legal, is run as a non-profit entity. Once again necessary to consult with local regulations on licensing.

With the way the DEA has raided and arrested dispensory owners, may I suggest, setting aside about $100k per owner for legal fees.

Yeah, the dea......you know what i say...fuck em...theres always the dea or atf or the FBI or some fuckers trying to stop you, but fuck them. if i had the money i would invest in an apartment complex, then one unit could be my "home" one unit could be the "SHOP" and a number of other units could be "RENTED" by other card holders. that way you could run it like you would on the streets have one unit be the stash, and switch it up everyday. which is why any places the medicine would be would still be in posession of a cardholder. They would only be able raid the "shop" and not every unit. because they would need a separate warrant for every one. so you would never have more than just a little.. it would all still be run legally (at least state laws) but then if the feds wanted to get involved, it would make a lot more difficult for them to fuck with ya.

Some cities, like Lake Forest, don't require business licenses--this might make it easier for you.
