I live in California, I have been diagnosed with TMJ disorder by 2 doctors as well as an orthodontist (the first one diagnosed and the others agreed with it, I am seeing an orthodontist now to work on correcting the problem with a splint that will change my bite). I have a lot of pain and discomfort from this and I would like to get a medical marijuana license, I basically know the process of how to do this which is to go to another doctor who specializes in recommendations and to show them my diagnosis. The question I have is what do I ask the original doctor for to get verification of my TMJ diagnosis? I would appreciate any input from people who have done this before as far as what to ask the doctor's office. Thanks

hey there, i suggest you tell the doctor that the marijuana eases the pain and you would rather use medicinal marijuana over narcotic painkillers

im sure that will work

I don't want to ask my actual doctor for marijuana because I am pretty sure he would not do this as a lot of doctors do not want to get involved in this issue. Rather, I would like to just get a verification from his office that I have been diagnosed with TMJ and take this to a doctor who specializes in medical marijuana recommendations. The problem is that I am not sure what to say to his office to get the verification of my TMJ diagnosis and to explain why I want the verification.

Your going to a specialty dentist and he needs your background records before doing work? i dunno
