Re: Disease specific MMJ strain list

I don't think there is any strain out there than is going to help with insulin levels. However, if you can find yourself a good sativa, it will keep your mood up and your energy high during the time day which should encourage you to eat right and eat often!

Re: Disease specific MMJ strain list

Actually cannabis has been shown to help keep blood sugar levels at a healthy range within seconds of ingesting and some testing has shown that it may help to increase insulin production.

But I guess i'll just go with an indica and sativa and see which one works best

Re: Disease specific MMJ strain list

I have type II diabetes, and much to my surprise, if I take one teaspoon of "cannabutter" twice a day (morning and evening) it actually does help regulate my blood sugar, but most importantly to me, it virtually eliminates the pain in my hands, legs and feet from the neuropathy.

I've made the "butter" from both sativa and indica, and the indica is great for helping to get to sleep (sometimes I'll take about a tablespoon or so about 3 hours before sack time and it works real well. The sativa is good for being up and around and doing things, especially without the aforementioned pain.

I don't know how effective the oil is, because I don't have enough bud to do that with yet, but there's one heck of a website that descibes a cure for not only diabetes, but a host of other things. The site is called "phoenixtears" based in Nova Scotia Canada.

Re: Disease specific MMJ strain list

I'll look that up Vintendo and I'm glad to hear you found something that works, thank for sharing. I often wondered about that as well because its the plants ability to turn the sugars and into the resin so it dosent seem like it'd be that far of a leap.

I think I'm off the search for a thread that might have a good recipie with MJ and honey, that just might sound like it tastes good.

I feel the need to say that AK-47 is NOT a sativa, as the OP's info insinuates. It's strait indica.

Re: Disease specific MMJ strain list

AK is good for someone with trigeminal neuralgia. Had a bout about 5 months ago and was passing out due to the pain.

Sativa dominant.

Re: Disease specific MMJ strain list

I have read the state thread on medicinal marijuana and it showed that Michigan recognizes that Hep-C is a legitimate disease/virus to excuse someone for the use of MMJ. I am sure it is more than just that one state but thats the first thing that I read because my father lives in Michigan, but I live in Tennessee, none of which has approved MMJ. I have my constitutional right for the pursuit of happiness, that includes pain free and preventing damage due to western medicines version of pain killers and anti-depressants.

My question is for you Clinton because I trust anyone with the name Clinton, hehe. If I drink alcohol it will have to be processed by my liver and that will harm me more than I already have harmed myself due to Hep-C. If I smoke MMJ it will probably only treat the pain such as joint pain and depression, along with helping my anxiety and social problems.

My question is, if I eat edibles, will that cause liver damage in the same or similar way as alcohol would or other pain killers or anti-depressants would cause? The reason why I ask is because I read somewhere that when you ingest Delta-9-THC, your liver converts it into Delta-12-THC and this seems similar to what it does to alcohol to process the substance to get it out of your system.

Also, thank you whoever posted this:
Kali Mist : Cramps, lack of energy
Haze: inactivity, lack of introspection, shyness
Big Bang: anxiety, nervousness
Strawberry Cough: Anxiety, nervousness, lack of motivation.....

Seems like vaporizing a hybrid of all of these would be perfect for myself. Maybe I will call it Bigberry Kalihaze.

I know many Hep-C patients. Cannabis helps them with pain and nausia. They ingest as well as smoke. Processing cannabis does not seem to hurt the liver. The way it handels cannabis is not the same as alchohol. Check out Grany Storm Crows list or register at my site Index of /

I have the most up to date cannabis research library I know of it includes Granny SC's list and much much more. Ask your questions there and Hep-C patients will respond. I have a private forum for every MMJ state - get your dad to join if he wants.

Re: Disease specific MMJ strain list

Now I just need to find a way to get these medicines as I live in a state that prohibits it so I can't just go to a shop and buy these strains. I can't order seeds and grow them because I still live with my mother since I was discharged from the NAVY in 2004. My step-father has had his small cell lung cancer come back and spread to his brain since last year, but he is so anti-drugs. Yet his doctors at the VA have put him on steroids which increase appetite. He's fatten up, at least some strains of cannabis don't give munchies. Horrible to say this, but once he is gone which doctors say will be about 6 months, I might have an easier time convincing mother that my only fighting chance to fight off my Hep-C would be to grow.

Don't get me wrong, I love to use it for recreation, but I don't have a desire to use other illicit drugs and controlled substances. If God whoever He/She/They may be didn't want you to use it for such reasons, why would a wonderful medicine also get you high? When I was in middle school, I came close to attempting suicide but talked myself out of it, I went my entire youth being depressed and having little to no ambition or interests. When I first tried marijuana I suddenly found my muse in life and just looking up stuff on strains or growing or ANYTHING on the subject would ease my anxiety, even if I hadn't used it in months.

I do strongly believe that you could develop a psychological addiction that a person can experience physical side effects of withdrawal. I say side effects because you consciously want to use so badly (psychoactive) that you could have an "indirect" physical symptom of being off of it (mind over matter). I might experience nausea or more anxiety than normal where I don't eat for the first half of the day because I feel like I have just eaten yet my stomach would growl. Easy fix though for me, just use some more and if I can't just do some reading about it.

Back to the subject, my brother just recently moved to Berkly. Maybe I can get him to get a card and buy some edibles to mail to me (so the dogs don't smell the sticky-icky).

Clinton, I don't see why you referred me to your forum beings I am not in your state and therefor cannot be permitted any membership that can access those topics including Hep-C patients.

All people can have account - but they do not have access to the private forums. I let all have accounts to teach. I do have private forums for patients from all MMJ states.

There is a large community who can answer all your questions. The HEP-C threads are all accessable by our not carded class of members. I a just one guy - time pressed - others at my site will answer more fully than I have time to do so.
