| Indica or Sativa for Pain - Best Conclusion
Indica - Pain Killer Sativa - Take mind off the pain Pros/cons Indica - Wheelchair weed - not too productive, make you sleep- kills pain Sativa - Takes mind off pain - uplifting high - cn still function - pain is only reduced (mind over matter) You could also smoke a nice Indica/Sativa hybred to get the best of both worlds. Indica is the wheelchair weed king. Usually a heavy smoke and extremely high in THC content with a lower level of CBD compared to Sativa Strains. Indica has shorter, fatter leafs. Indica plants produce more bud weight than Sativa, flowers quicker and doesn't grow as tall. Almost all drug dealers grow Indica because it's more profitable and because it doesn't grow as tall as Sativa, it's easier to hide in corn fields. Sativa is a clean high . Usually a citrus smell and high in THC content with a higher level of CBD compared to Indica Strains. Sativa has narrow, longer leafs, usually more leafs like 13 comapred to 8 or 9 on an Indica plant. Sativa plants produce less bud weight than Indica, flowering takes weeks longer and it grows very tall. Sativas are originally from Mexico, Southeast Asia, Thailand and Colombia. Sativa plants are tall and thin, generally between 8 and 12 feet. You can say that a sativa is exactly the opposite of indica. The plant is thin, the leaves are narrower with a lighter green color. A sativa bud will become red as they mature in a warm environment and can turn to purple if they mature in a colder environment. Some sativa varieties can have yellow pigments. Sativa plants smell fresh, sweet and fruity and the smoke will get you cerebral, up and energetic giving a clear, up, cerebral high. www.bcseeds.com |

I beg to differ bcseeds, but it's indicas which have the high CBD content, not sativas. Indica is a heavy smoke, painkilling and anti-insomnia, this is because of the HIGH levels of CBDs. Sativa have LOW levels of CBD, leading to the clear uplifting high they are known for. CBD is the compound which gives you the monged tired feeling, not the other way around. Check out this thread, it's interesting: http://hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=189129 DSChill, My Gran has the exact same problem as your mother, her spine is slowly crumbling. For years she couldn't sleep more than an hour at a time because the pain was so bad. My mother was staying with her a few years ago and was having a spliff out on the balcony. For the first time in her life my Gran had a few tokes at the age of 71, and she slept the whole night through. Now and for a good few years she has a toke when the pain is bad and one at night, and she can function better than she has in years. Pure indica is damn good stuff for dealing with that sort of pain, I can recomend good old Northern Lights. It's great for pain and easy to grow with a quick yeild - perfect for the medical grower. |
