Top 10 breeders of 2011

so lets just get a top ten list going ......

I am gonna give 20 choices, but please feel free to write in your fav. if not listed ( I'm only given 20 slots... ).


This is just for breeders. We'll get a top 3 ( or up to 5 is good IMO) per each top breeder, but lets get the breeder list narrowed down ..


This is an attempt to simplify the whole "who's seeds should I get " questions, and at the same time, make a list that will stay fairly up to date.( least yearly.. )



so on to the ground rules.

1. Breeder must be active and commercially available to the majority of GrassCity growers.

Your favorite "Pollen Wrangler" listed on an "invite only auction site" .. get em to go public. (site or breeder) this is not to discourage the 'little guy" ( who we all know makes the best shit ) it is to make it easier on the new grower. The breeder doesn't have to be on all of em ..just one "public bank" is good enough.

2. If you didn't take part in growing the breeders strains..please don't vote for em.

pretty self explanatory IMHO:eek: this is in the growers section, so we assume if you are gonna buy seeds.....

AKA ..this is not the place for smoke reports


other then that, all GrassCity etiquette rules stand. Be nice, & respect others opinions/experiences.

EDIT : I have made it so you can choose multiple breeders .. (try to keep it to a "personal top 5" )

KOS (kingdom Organic Seeds, the two breeders i know of in KOS are the Rev and Greenman) and Ace Seeds, both have awesome genetics. KOS can be found at hempdepot and aceseeds.org.

You know me, DNA/RP is my favorite. To be fair, Haven't tried half on the list. Cantaloupe haze aka C99 is next.

Add Soma (and yes, I ranted about how crappy the germ rate was this last year, but you gotta love that diesel), Joey Weed seeds, c-99 and apollo-11, Dutch Passion Blueberry was suprisingly good...mutated bitch that it was, KCBrains Leda Uno, do like that Brazillian, I think that the rest are on your listed 20...

Mr Nice, TGA, and Cali Connection are among my top 3 so I'm glad they were all listed. My runners up would definitely be DNA: RP, Rez Seeds, Alphakronik, and Dinafem. My last few seed orders have turned me on to new breeders so 2012 is looking very very promising so far. Goodluck with your 2012 grows everyone !!

DNA stepped up there medical land race indicas I have been working with them alot.

I'm a relatively new grower, (5 harvests).

I've done two strains from "world of seeds". Yumbolt 47, and space. I was very pleased and overshot the expectations of a first time grower. Good yeilds, incredibly hardy and very nice smoke from both.

BUT, the best seed I've grown was called , "fruity chronic juice", from Delicious seeds. 5.5oz in 99 days from seed to chop and it was only my second grow. By far the most potent I've grown, some of the most potent I've smoked. Grew it in DWC and didn't even use airstones, just 2 hoses stuck in the water.

Neither world of seeds, not delicious seeds made the list up there though. So I'm not sure who to vote for.

Another user named octogonal home did a 6 or 7 strain grow and concluded that the yumbolt 47 was the best of it.

I'm not an expert and I don't know much about breeders for real, but I feel like I should stick with those two, because everything They've sent me has been great and problem free.

I'd love to try TGA Subcool seeds, but my grower refuses to waste time and grow-space on regular/male seeds (8 plants, 8 varieties, continuous grow - 1 to 2 strains booted each cycle). As well, I'd like to try Mr Nice, but he's just too expensive.

Female seeds. They offer some great outdoor strains for northern hemisphere like maroc,easy sativa, and purple maroc that are finished well before winter comes.
