How To Keep Your Bong Clean

I usually clean my bong after every half ounce, but note thats only if its just me smoking out of it. If I know somebody else is going to be smoking with me I'll clean it without hesitation.

I put my bong into a ziplock bag with some rubbing alcohol and salt and just shake, shake, shake. Cleans it great. Not perfect, but it cleans the downtube nicely so its a smoother smoke (You know how if the downtube gets clogged its harder to get a nice pull). If I know I won't be smoking for a day or two I'll clean my bong (which is acryllic by the way) and put it aside till my next smoking session. I always clean it before I pick up my half ounce every 3-4 weeks. I almost always change the bong water each day before each morning session. Just a habit, I hate the smell of bong water.

you know that big ass thing on top of your shoulders.... its called a head and in that head is a brain

Sometimes there is an easier way to do something, EVEN if you made a good way to clean your bong. Everything must be rationalized by someone.

is there like special brushes you can get to get the inside because i just bout a delta 9 12" and i didnt spring to get an ash catcher so it got really dirty this weekend and i really cant reach the shit thats like where the waterline was and my down stem is really trashed

I cleaned out the deep parts of my steam roller with a rubbing alcohol soaked Q-tip, and the deeper parts I took off one end of two Q-Tips and taped them together with a small piece of duct tape (to keep it thin [plus duct tape takes up a large surface area and is pretty sticky so it keeps the Q-tip stronger where you cut it]).

alcohol/rock salt works great, but i recently discovered orange chronic at my friendly neighborhood smokeshop. works dandy fine.

Orange Chronic is a spray meant to cover up the smell. Maybe we're thinking of two different products with the same name, but as far as I know (my friend uses that stuff b/c he can't smoke in the house) its not meant for cleaning bongs.

The brushes work great, they just aren't necessary. When you use salt/alcohol, the salt works as an abrasive and the alcohol breaks down the resin. No need for brushes, just some swishing.

I agree. Even though I don't use a glass bong anymore, I use to have one and have experience with brushes vs. alcohol & salt, and personally I think the alcohol & salt is the best method. Besides, the brush slowly scratches away at your glass bong, so if you keep using the brush for 2 years or so, the wear and tear is going to start to show.
