Have you considered the possibility that someone used gib. acid on a clone or just naturally stressed it to hermie? This would make the scientist need to steal seeds useless...I don't buy the gov. lab story either way, but the one time I tried what was suppose to be g-13 it was amazing, super resinous with a cinnamon bun flavor, really strong stuff. Cool write up tho.

Anychance someone could confirm/deny these strains that are apearing in seedbanks that claim to be Genetically modified?

I allways assumed there are the odd labs that are Stoner friendly, eg how we get our THC% "chromatography mass spectrometry" Tests done.... But i never thought there were 'Underground" labs so well funded, and staffed that actual Gene modification was capable.

Are these made by clandestine Labs, Government labs, or just plain bullshit?

(I deffiently would like to know, as im planning on ordering some of this strain eventualyl, it apears in alot of seedbanks now)

There are legitimate companies doing research on cannabis. There's also 'so-called' legitimate companies dumping poison in our oceans. So legitimacy is in the eye of the beholder.

Google "David Watson" or "Hortapharm" or "GW Pharmaceuticals" (It's been said that he has quite an extensive growing reputation under an alias -that will remain undisclosed by myself-)

You'll find plenty on this poindexter. He's trying to establish, or has already established the only legal, corporate-level avenue by which to monopolize the cannabis industry as soon as it goes legal. Hell, even if it doesn't, i'm sure the shrewd fellow has many angles on the market.

Research in an actual, scientifically controlled environment, is usually a good thing. But not always. IMO, stick with known breeders that have dedicated 20-30+ years to cannabis. That's where you'll find the icky icky genetics.

People have been genetically modifying cannabis for a long time. For example there has been quite a few studies on the effects of cannabis treated with colchicine. Some of the studies show THC levels doubling and even tripling, others show it will produces more fiber. It all depends on what you look for. Problem is the polyploid state is not very stable and most revert back to the standard diploid condition, and colchicine is poisonous/ kills seeds, and works on only a lucky few seeds. Also the whole chromatography mass spectrometry dealie is just a long word to sound official all it really does is tell them what's in the plant and how its working, it doesn't really alter the genes, that takes a ton of work and I don't think monsanto cares for the cannabis market just yet.
