it is a shame.
we all take high risks for high gain . . . the various governments of the world are trying to make all drug users out there ask "is it worth the risk?"
I can't answer this question without being biased seeing as I've never faced jail time . . . but, I'd have to say that:
For the use of the drug, it isn't worth it.
For fighting the government, it isn't worth it.
For the freedom to do what you want (without impeding on the happiness of others) . . . yeh, it's worth a whole goddamn lot to me.
Action is necessary to make a change, I don't want to see seventy years of strict prohibition turn into eighty by the time I'm thirty . . .
The only problem I have with activism these days is that there are too many other "bigger" problems to deal with, and they are only addressed by cannabis activists in relation to their beef with the drug war. On the other hand, the problem of cannabis prohibition is brushed aside for the sake of dealing with "bigger problems" but the simple fact is is that this is a problem that could be solved overnight. It would be good for the economy, environment, and society.
Most of all though, I believe that the repeal of cannabis prohibition laws would be a great representation of the American ideal: the ideal of absolute, unadulterated, and individualized freedom.
Whoa, sorry, got a little carried away there . . .
