Re: Marijuana Decriminalization Talking Points

Those are good points to bring up at a trial just before you explain to the people that they have the right and the power to judge not only the facts and evidence in a case, but the LAW as well. And it is their perogative to return a vote of NOT GUILTY if they too believe that Marijuana Prohibition is a failed policy of enforcing laws that were born of racism and wealthy industrialist stomping out hemp as a direct threat to their paper mills and textile companies. As well as being used to power the diesel engine, YUP, Rudolph Diesel said that he invented the engine to run on HEMP OIL. A relative of Cannabis, but has no known drug value. Is that the reason it is still illegal? Ya' think? There is a great history of how and why Marijuana Prohibition started link at the bottom. And Jury Nullification was used to end alcohol prohibition. That is how we will end these stupid laws.Check out these links at the bottom, and pass the word. We will fight them in the courts. 1 in 4 at least, smoke or have smoked Marijuana, that puts an average of 3 tokers on every jury. It will become to expensive to prosecute, and end up with a 90% fail rate they'll have to legalize it after they can't get a conviction. That is how we "nullify" the law. And it works.

Re: Marijuana Decriminalization Talking Points

Great post fearjar.
Especially about Rudolph Diesel.
Another reason why they want it to stay illegal is because the Pharmaceutical Companies would lose money(people would stop taking pills with side-effects, and start using a SAFE HERBAL remedy)
The Oil companies would lose money because Hemp Seed Oil can be run in engines, such as the Diesel engine(fearjar).
The Paper Companies would go out of business because Hemp can be turned into paper(case in point, the Constitution was written on Hemp)
Synthetic Rope companies wold lose money, because Hemp Ropes is much stronger to any man made rope.
Hemp Seed Oil also contains, pound for pound more protein than a steak.

I just wish the general public would realize the tremendous benifet of Cannabis.
Some places, finally are, such as Oaksterdam University in Oakland California.
There, They have a street lined with Coffee Shops, such as "Blue Sky Cafe"
which is a Cafe in the front, and a Coffee Shop in the back
Seen on CNN's "Marijuana: Industry, inside America's Pot Culture"
over 40% of Americans today currently use, or have used Cannabis, so why can't the people just do what's good for them and what makes them happy?
A little tid bit of the Constitution "The inalienable rights of ALL people are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness"...Yeah.

Re: Marijuana Decriminalization Talking Points

Thanks. There are a lot of reasons why it is illegal. And all of them are shady. But there are more reasons why it should be legal, but the only one that should matter is because we the people want it to be. Advocate Jury Nullification. Spread the word, and get the message out. The more people that know the better the chances we will see it legalized in the next couple of years. But we need to stop the Medical Marijuana bullshit, it is making this look like a joke. They did it with "Medicinal beer" during prohibition, and if it becomes legal only for Medical use then there will still be a black market for it, and then they will say the Repeal is a failure and go right back to prohibition. Adult use legalization. That is the goal, so let's go for that and that alone.

Thanks Farjar, that is so true.
Legalizing and regulating it is the only way to go.
This country's government should take a cue from Amsterdam and British Columbia.
For instance, Go to Amsterdam, the Economy there is flourishing, there are jobs, tourism and yes AWESOME WEED lol.
The people want it, they used to have it during the pioneer days...even into the late 1800s and very early 1900s, you could still find cannabis at the local drug store, we should get back to those days.

Re: Marijuana Decriminalization Talking Points

Smoking cannabis has no calories so that is better than most alcoholic beverages especially in a nation with an obesity problem. That could be countered by the munchies in some people.

68 year old men from Oregon won't get shot dead by the police for growing buds.

You can tell prohibition works when ordinary citizens are hoping for one gang to gain superiority to establish stability.

How do we get more up to date statistics?? A lot of the dates referenced are 10 years old.

Just a quick backup on that.

Genesis 1:29 "Behold I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth". (Cannabis Grows over all the earth, in almost every continent)
Genesis 1:30 "Behold, I have given you every green herb for food, and it was so.
Psalms 104:14 "He makes Vegetation to grow for the cattle and the Service of man"

Yup, but I can't imagine a world where we only eat weed. Of course maybe that is how it all started. I know I have ate some crazy things after cathing a good buzz, and I can only imagine where people came up with the idea to eat some of the shit we call food. Remember that Family Guy episode where Peter smokes some ganja with Bill Clinton, and Clinto tells him, "Hey Peter, you see that pig in that field...we could eat that pig". I guess it might have started like that.

The Simpson's, Family Guy and Futurama I don't think there is anyother reason to watch TV, I'll watch them all day every day.

Re: Marijuana Decriminalization Talking Points

Yeah we all get it, our government is filled with retards, I don't know how the hell they graduated Universities and shit.

I am yet to hear a valid point out of anyone anywhere saying why marijuana should not be legal.
