Im not sure if this is a credible source but knowing his father's views i'd say he's definately for legalization. They are for more personal rights and less laws/gov't in people's lives. Legalization is a part of this belief

I sent a msg. to contact@randpaul2010.com and received my reply on August 4th from Christopher Hightower. He said that Rand believes that the federal government should have nothing to do with this issue, and that the states should be able to make their own decision.

...at the least, this is much better than what we currently are facing!

i cant see how people dont like Ron and Rand Paul. They are about the only ones I can actually trust.. seriously its like people like being lied to. Anyone who sees a stupid ass politician with a smile on his face automatically makes them think they are the next messiah

So was the OP trollin' us or did he just get the wrong information or what? The "campaign manager" should be a reliable source on Rand's politicals opinions. However... I think it's notable the OP didn't give a name for the campaign manager.

Christopher Hightower works for Rand Paul & is a far more reliable source than an unnamed campaign manager.

I still don't understand it really. I've searched a couple times but I haven't found an interview or a statement from Rand for/against legalizing marijuana. I think it is safe to assume he basically has the same posititon as his dad on the issue. They both say there is very little they disagree with eachother on. And if Rand is in favor of the status quo with regards to prohibition, that doesn't make him much of a libertarian, does it?

I've checked out Ron Pauls political stance several times in the past and even recently and know that he has a good political agenda but then again so does every politician . For me , I think im ruined on believing politicians . And yet , not a single politician has changed this view of mine . Maybe when politicians start being more about following their own promises to constituients versus advancing their careers , then maybe ill change my stance.
