Colorado to lower possession fine to $1.00. Lets hope this passes!

    The more we see these things pass, the closer we will be to legalizing federally. Currently medical marijuana is legal in CO however if you are not a patient and you get busted with marijuana (outside of Denver county where possession is legal) then you get a $50.00 fine. That's pretty low anyways but lowering to $1.00 will send a message that fining adults with marijuana is pointless. Lets hope this actually passes!

    Great! But why not make it free? By still charging a fine, you say that it's illegal, but a $1 fine won't help police budgets.

    That's the point. The cop won't spend the time to write out a ticket and actully charge you for one fucking dollar, because it's more than a dollars worth of his time. Unless you're out of control and deserve it, nothing will happen if it passes.

    im so stocked im moving to colorado (u of denver) on the 5th!!!! Holy shit yes lol
