i agree like with alcohol you can get the 10 dollar Christian Brothers Brandy or you can go out and buy the 150 dollar bottle .

If marijuana prohibition ever ends in my lifetime (say the next 50 years or so) I'll just be happy to grow my own shit. I've given a lot of thought to if they legalized it NOW, I'd go back to college and get my degree in horticulture and start my grow business / seed shop. I'd sell online exclusively.
I've got dibs on Aeroponic Dank, Inc. When Mary Jane and I first met, I knew we'd be together the rest of my life. Can you imagine the change it would make in America? I think we'd see history repeat itself and have another 60's - 70's revolution, without all the racial tension. I've daydreamed what it will be like when prohibition ends many many times, it'll probably be the happiest day of my life. Last edited by Hazimus Maximus; 06-30-2008 at 06:54 AM. |

actually im pretty sure its gonna happen in the next 10 years, at least in california. i mean think about it. californians are very accepting of weed, and many people smoke it here and i believe what will happen is that since our economy is getting pretty bad, it would be a nice way to jumpstart it, thus other states will start legalizing to boost their economy until it is finally passed federally

I personally hope it stays small... probably though what you will have is major farming corporations in certain states like california, hawaii, possibly western washington(Vashon Islantad grows some very good weed) not sure about the eastern part of the state though, and they would proably sell to stores in states like montana, so just because of the nature of agriculture and pot your going to have certain regions which benefit more from the market than others and so you will probably get brands, which is unfortunate, I would prefer laws which keep farms to a certain size to foster competition in quality and services.

Re: Brands when legal
If weed became legal it would be taxed the hell out of; I believe there would be an overnight commercial boom. Stores will sell it so expensive that buying it from a dealer is going to be the cheapest. So who cares if it gets legalized or not?
