This is how the drug war ends: when top government officials realize the registered voters know the drug war is a failure, they will be willing to agree without committing political suicide.
I imagine many congressmen and congresswomen agree the drug war has failed, one simply has to look at the facts available. These are smart individuals so they know the facts regardless of whether they support ending the drug war. Their jobs depend on pleasing those voting for them. If people are brainwashed into wanting a drug war, they will support a drug war, but when that changes, so will the views of elected representatives.

I have told my senators my views, please inform your senators of your views so we can move closer to ending the failure that is a war on drugs.
