nothing but lies

..have you ever noticed the vast majority of people opposing legalization have a financial interest in seeing it remain illegal (anti-drug educators, ONDCP, DARE, etc)?
Either their jobs are on the line or they're making good money while it remains illegal.

The people calling for legalization, on the other hand, mainly aren't going to see any financial benefit from legalization. Sure prices will drop some but they aren't calling for legalization so they can get into a good paying job or make some fat money out of selling it. When legalization comes almost all of us will celebrate then continue on with our lives, only a very few of us will start up coffeeshops and get into commercial growing.

Could this be the reason it remains illegal?

We are all just helpless addicts, swirling down the drain of what used to be our lives.
