Then you step out of the vehicle. If they search the vehicle you say, "I do not consent to this search".

No. Because it will raise even more suspicion. Not consenting a search won't stop them from searching. And rarely is it ever not in the cops favor in court.

If they asked you step out of the car then do so. Just make sure you lock to the doors when you step out. If they asked you why you locked the door just say it's a habbit.
I never let then search even if I have no meds. Also in Oregon the is NO home inspection laws for med growers. If they want to inspect say no. Also if they ever asked you to pull up your own plants they do not have no case on you. If they had a case they would not care who pulls the plants. If you pull your own plants they are not at fault. I cannot count how many stories I read where the wife was talked into ripping up meds plants.

I have said no and they have not searched. Other times they got a dog and then searched.
