Oxymoron: An Old(er) Newbie
I'm new to this forum and a newbie grower. Since I'm not a young guy anymore (I'm in my fifties), it's not easy to meet "like minded" people. Frustrated with the uncertainties of scoring weed, I decided to take control of my situation and start growing a few plants. I am totally glad that I did... and I haven't even harvested yet! Apart from the anticipation of having some killer weed in a few weeks, I'm just having a great time with this.
I've been lurking here a while and have found the information in this forum to be useful beyond belief. If it's been a while since your first grow, you might have forgotten how overwhelming all the information can be. It's incredibly helpful to be able to tap into the collective expertise of a group like this. After one false start (a single plant that turned out to be male), I've got three lovely ladies going and they should be ready in three or four weeks. Thanks, everyone, for sharing. |

welcome to the City man!!! ..it's great to have older people here!
 although most of the blades are of a younger age group you're definitely not the oldest person here I look forward to seeing you around and hearing about your harvest

The people on this forum have been a pleasure. Thanks for the words of encouragment. It's a pretty significant step for me to tell the truth, something I've thought about -- fantasized about, really -- for decades! The idea of being self-sufficiennt is almost enough to bring a tear to my eye. Seriously.
