Lo Grass City,
I am new here, I've been lurking and such for quite a while, but yeah, just actually joined. I'm from Geraldton, Western Australia, which (as if anyone who lives/has lived or visited here knows) is very, very, VERY dry. Still, I love bud. It allows me to engage and utilise my mind to levels that would go unappreciated and un-delved without it. I believe that as human beings, our chances of being on Earth and evolving (Charles Darwin, Richard Dawkins etc blew my mind... somewhat needless to say, I am a staunch atheist) under such perfect conditions is amazing, and though none of us have ever asked to be born, our lives are really something to be utilised to the maximum we can. I consider it to be almost neglectful of someone to not at least try soft drugs, as they are relatively benign and allow you to experience new levels or thinking/perception. As such, this allows you to really see what your brain is capable of when given the appropriate chemicals, and is the somewhat a responsibility of everyone to try these drugs responsibly (within reason, it is your right to not want to... just as it is our right to be fucking INFORMED CORRECTLY about drugs). Anyways, enough of that rant, I also love music. Music is the one thing I really love, and is my sole and all consuming interest. I have had two narrow, intense interests in my life; reptiles when I was a little laddie, and music. Music is it though. I play guitar and do vocals in a band (looking to get a Myspace up soon, we're very new though) playing a style predominantly rooted in death metal, with strong progressive, funk and jazz influences. My favourite band is Tool. My other three top bands besides Tool would be Primus, Machine Head, and Mudvayne. I love a lot of blues and folk (Bob Dylan etc), a LOT of jazz and jazz fusion etc, and yeah, just MUSIC! Anyways, this is creating to be rather long, so I'll leave it there. If you're in Geraldton (fat chance though), PM me and we'll get in contact and have a jam and smoke or whatever. But nobody ever will, so I'll see you round the City
