Wts up guys. Hey does anyone know how an AC would work for helping to control temp or is it even good to use one?

Getting your grow rooms ambient temperature is usually most important with open HID systems.
If your grow box/cab/tent is 85+ degrees with proper ventilation, it's a great option, especially if you already have one laying around.
An AC running full blast can drop temps anywhere from 5-20 degrees, in my experience.
