Can I just use straight pro-mix potting soil with perlite and dolomite lime wothout adding nutes like guano, worm castings, kelp meal etc..? I plan on using FF Grow Big and Tiger Bloom as liquid nutes when the plant matures. Would that be enough to sustain the life of a plant?
It's best to begin with some nutes in the soil. I found a recipe yesterday, cannot locate the thread again but I copied it down: 60% potting soil 15% perlite 10% building sand 10% worm castings 5% premix The above premix value is a good starter and is pretty much in the correct PH value. Later in your grow add nutes, this is just a premix to get you startted. GL, HTH. Bennie
