Tin foil

Can I use tin foil instead of mylar. It's much cheaper. I just need something to cover up the inside of my closet door. I could either use a sheet or tin foil; which should I use?

Tin foil usually reflects alot of the heat back. If I were you, I would just paint the sides with flat white paint.

go buy one of those shiney balloons there like 2$ cut it open and turn it inside out there made out of mylar.
