Grow 3 for Mr. X

Hey everybody this is my third grow. Were comin to you live from the island, where me (mr. X) will be postin pics of four nice and exotic strains as they grow feel free to comment, ask questions etc...anyways here are the details:

-around 2 weeks ago I planted 1 seed each of: tahoe og kush (cali connection); island sweet skunk (next gen); pineapple chunk (barney's farm); & red dragon (barney's farm).

-seeds were planted in rockwool and started in a tupperware container with 24 hrs of light from 4 6500k 27w CFLs.

-Now they are all planted in small nursery pots with a mixture of sta-green moisture potting soil and local top soil (good stuff).

-Im watering about once every three days with a solution of very light nutrients (fox farm grow big and big bloom) and they seem to be taking em fine.

-recently I pulled the lights back to 18/6 BUT I added a fifth light (2700k 14w CFL) that stays on 24/7. I like the idea of easing the plants from all light to no light, but if any of yall have experience with this and know better, feel free to say so

-ive got the plants in a small closet in my rm, and I built a sort of makeshift tent out of cheap plastic sheeting (black on one side and white on the other) that blocks most light and makes my operation totally unnoticeable to anybody (landlady included lol:rolleyes:) if the door is closed

-that's about it. PICs in the next post I promise, plz come on board for a good semi-micro-macro grow

Thx man, ventilation is ok. It gets a little hot inside the tent thing but It's nowhere near airtight and I can keep the closet open alot. Luckily those cfls don't put out much heat.

CP - I'm actually not positive what day I started on, but I'd say these guys are in their 3rd week from seed. Rockwool germ is surprisingly fast

ok little update:

I took out the 14w 2700k bulb (that was on 24hrs a day) and replaced it with a 65w 2700k bulb (on 18/6 on/off sched). Also I started LST on all the plants today. It has worked wonders for me before, and specially with a small space like this, training the plants to grow horizontally is so helpful. Sorry no pics, just thought i'd post a quick note.

Loving your work my friend, does the landlady check up on you alot? and do you have yourself a good carbon filter for when she does? (for flowering)

thanks tyrant! she actually never checks up thankfully, I've been able to do 2 grow indoor cycles so far without anything more complex than an oscillating fan! I would like to get a nice ventilation setup with a small tent for a closet, but I've got to save up a bit of cash first :/ anyways thanks for comin by, come back for more pics soon

That's good then my friend, a place I used to rent the landlord inspected the house quite thoroughly every 1-2 Months, he also noticed a small scuff on the wall...

I would of had no chance of growing aha, but now I have my own place I'm getting prepared so set up a nice room :-)

That sounds great my friend, and I've been very keen on rotogro's for the fact you can get many plants from 1 light :-)

However it limits your plants height to about 2-3 Foot
But the wow factor is pretty cool Comes with built in hydroponics, fans, light so it's pretty cool

Very nice, I grew Red Dragon but it was a long time ago now. Hope you like the Cali Connection, I tried their Chem 3 OG and it was mind blowing

@tyrant - dude that set up looks very cool, talk about wow factor! I'd imagine it gets really hot in there, although u said theres built in fans...regardless, definitely awesome. Go ahead n buy that...lol...I'd like to see an entire grow cycle in that contraption

@wiz - thanks for the kind words man. I've heard good things about red dragon from various home-growers, and it's doing well so far. It seems to be a little more sensitive to nutrients than the other 3 strains I have going, but still coming along nicely. It's funny you mention the chem3OG, yesterday I was on attitude checking out cali connects other stuff and I'm pretty sure my next round will include chem4 OG or Chem Valley Kush keep comin around for some nice pics!

thx spanglish!! I was just about to update with some new pics, so here ya go! They've been flowering for about a week now. The tahoe OG hermd very early so it's gone (I don't have any space to waste); I half expected this because its stalk snapped and I managed to save the plant with tape but the stress was apparently too much. Whatever still got 3 nice healthy and ALL CONFIRMED FEMALE plants. By today the PC, RD and ISS all have lots of pistils poppin out, and I decided its time for the major lights. So I hooked up the two 65 watt CFLs I have and the 400 watt HPS. I think the three surviving plants are gonna explode with growth soon anyways, enjoy:
