First time cfl grow.

I have germinated 2 seeds that came from a blue cheese origin I thinks. I then put them under 4x 30watt cfls blue spectrum 6400 lumens with a homemade light reflector

After they had germinated my cfls hadn't arrived so they was placed under 2x 50watt helogen household bulbs. Both plants grew really tall quickly 😞

The plants started under 24 hours of light then changed to 18 on 6 off when the cfls arrived.

The ph of the soil is always at 6.5 so I'm quite scared of using nutes as I don't know what to do with them.
2 weeks and 5 days later they look healthy to me but as I say this is my first time grow.

Any advice people have or questions are gladly welcome.

With nutes you will want to start them at 1/4 strength and slowly move up from there.
You will also want to pH your water after you add the nutes. (A lot of people seem to make the mistake of pH'ing then adding nutes) There's a lot of different approaches to feeding, but the one I like the most is, feed, feed, water. Adding a regular watering to the routine will allow for any salt build to be semi flushed out.

Some soils have enough nutes in them for a few weeks, so you don't need to feed during that. What kind of soil are you using?

Thanks for the info on nutes.
I've got a john innes number 2 soil from my local garden centre. I read up that it would be good for a steady ph balance.
What nutes would u reccomend? I presume I should purchase a ph+ and a ph- kit.

On the nute side, I use General Hydroponics Maxibloom. I use it throughout veg and flower.
What is Lucas Formula, and how do I use it? it's the easiest nute schedule out there.
Yeah I would buy some ph up and down. Always nice to have on hand.

I might start some low stress training because on 2 sides they gone bushy but on other sides not so much, I heard its just a case of bending slightly and securing down.

wow i cant belive they lived afte you put them under some halogen lights. haha
I know lol. I was told they would take 5 days to germinate but only took 3. They was under them for about 3 days and grew about 3 inch tall and started to topple over. I re potted them and just buried the stems down in the soil a couple of inches. Seems to of done the trick. 😃

Also covered the top of plants in some foil and the run off tray to reflect some light.
If anybody has a good reason to change this I would appreciate the info.

Thanks alot, the foil is now off. There is just so many different stories and with this being my first grow I'm in total confusion as to which ones to follow.
Thanks again for your quick response. Think I would literally cry now if they died lol.

The moisture meter said they was normal but thought I would give them a little drink each. They look loads better tonight I think after being in transplant shock.
Not sure if this will work but here is a link to my youtube video at week 3
